Re: Tierney
Depending on the natire of the break it could well be better news than I feared. It looked to me that they'd strapped the leg up in such a way as to hold the Achilles in place. A ruptured Achilles is a horror injury. If we (well, HE to be fair) is reasonably fortunate he may be back for new year.
It is a bummer though & I'm seriously wondering if BSA didn't leave a curse somewhere.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Sounds familiar, get the feeling the damage OC did to this club will have much longer affects then anybody thought the destruction of our medical team can certainly be put down to that twit and what has followed is regular season ending injuries.
The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.

Is it just me who thinks that because it was such a strong 'all-in' tackle at the end of a full 20 yard sprint that it's no surprise he's got himself injured?
Bit reckless perhaps

The joy of not reading your posts Dan is all the sweeter when I read some of your shite via a "quote".

It is important to get Kevin McNaughton signed before tomorrow but that article suggests we are waiting for international clearance. WTF!clapton is god wrote:Broken foot, rather than leg.

I know he is Scottish but when have any other clubs signing been held up with international clearance for a similar situation. I can't remember one.

In fact it's not a Scotch issue ... it's a Welshish one.
He is currently registered with Cardiff, so his papers are held by the Welsh FA. Despite the leagues they play in that makes this an 'international' transfer. ... & the Welsh FA are sticklers for process. You'd be stunned.
Not to mention the paperwork being in both languages.

Re: Tierney
I live about 3 miles from the border. The border here is extremely "porous" ... in that there are sizable populations either side of it and people work, live, socialise etc. either side completely fluidly. No different than going from Bolton to Bury.plymouth wanderer wrote:You Reckon you'll be able to smuggle him in?bobo the clown wrote:Well, there was Greg Wylde !!malcd1 wrote:It is important to get Kevin McNaughton signed before tomorrow but that article suggests we are waiting for international clearance. In football terms though, once registered to a WFA club if you decide to play for an English FA registered club it requires all sorts of paperwork. Let's say I wanted to play for a Welsh registered club on a Saturday and an English one on a Sunday I would need permissions and approvals. If your kid plays for a Welsh school team but wants to play for an English club side it's been known that they've been refused as the local Education Authority have to sign stuff of also.
Now, let's be real about it. People sign up and no-one's any the wiser (except for schoolkids, as they keep close tabs on them) as there's no machinery checking it out. If, however, you let it be known that you are the one & the same person already registered elsewhere you have to go through this rigmarole. If you come to the WFA's attention and are signed to two separate FA clubs you can find yourself suspended. The English FA in Cheshire, Wirral etc. tend to turn a blind eye. It will not surprise you that the WFA do not.
They've never quite got over Michael Owen refusing to play for them I think.

Re: Tierney
I've asked this on another thread, but as you are not allowed "international transfers" in the emergency loan window is the McNaughton deal in doubt?
I can't see why FIFA are involved....
