Speaking of Ngog; has he ever scored a header for us? Considering his considerable height, its worth pointing out that he rarely seems to win a header. Where is he at corners? He doesn't put himself about enough. Owing to his size, he should score more headers. Either he's got no positional awareness, no sense of anticipation, doesn't put himself about enough - or all three.

Anyway, I honestly can't see us getting anything from this. Heads will drop after they score their first and we'll get tonked 3-0.
It wouldn't be hard to pick out if he had... there's only 12 goals to choose from out of 75 appearances in our shirt.
That's nearly one every 6 games... That's much better than I thought... One's due any time now... The winner tonight would be nice... I suddenly feel really optimistic...

What would your back four be, Dibs?
That is like asking if I'd prefer to lose my left or right bollock...

Mears/Baptiste/Mills/Ream I think. ABK. And edging towards ABW as well. Planks.

Oh and whilst I dont think he's the problem I'd be dropping Bogdan as well. Get him out of the firing line.

I reckon we scrape a draw and Freedmans 'dance of death' lingers on.

We really really need 3 points from this and the next 5-6 games or we might as well call the season over.

While I see your reasoning, that would be changing (either dropping or repositioning) four of the back five. Pretty major surgery to effect between a Saturday and Tuesday game. One could argue they're already playing like strangers...

I don't know what the answer is, mind, assuming McNaughton's still choking on red (dragon) tape. But I would try to minimise change; besides of all the centre-back pairings, I think I would lean toward Mills-Ream, partly because they've done the least wrong recently; would probably rather shunt Baptiste left than split those up.

We need to play in the away kit... That'll confuse Blackpool.

4-2
Goalscorers:
(them) Dobbin, Sandy, Tiffany, Pedro.
(us) Medo, Medo.
That's not a leopard!

A bit worrying if he is. A one-month loanee missing two games because of red tape? That'd be some kind of record. Hopefully the "month" starts when he walks onto the field for the first time. If the clock's already running, he'll be heading back before he's played a game...

Forgot about the mcnaughton thing

Baptiste is horrible at left back and blackpool have good wingers.

We'll get dicked whatever back four plays anyway

Entirely possible that on Saturday we could play McNaughton at RB and Fox at LB, which would free Baptiste up for centre-back, if you wanted to move him thither... Would still rather Mills and Ream tonight keep the clean sheet they would have got but for Bogger's balls-up...

All it needs is for the team we have to play football to the sort of ability expected of somebody drawing good wages for just that. No clangers in defence and some sort of percentage of shots on target and we might well see some results. In a short : Do your jobs properly. There, I didn't even swear.

what worries me is that DF keeps saying we are playing good football apart from the lack of goals (which is the aim of the game). I cannot say I have seen us play good football all season apart from the start at Burnley before they scored. We have looked soft at the back, disjointed in midfield and toothless up front. This does not make for good football, however, I think our main problem at the moment is getting the monkey of no wins off our back the sooner we do that the better. We may then start to relax and start to play the longer it goes without a win the more it is on the minds of the players which inhibits the more creative side of the game as nobody wants to make a mistake.

Everything is stacked against us tonight they are full of confidence after a good start especially at home. Our away form must be one of the worst if not THE worst in the division. We have not stopped teams getting down our flanks all season and this lot have got a couple of fleet footed wingers (alarm bells ringing). My only hope is that they have rubbish forwards to put away the inevitable bombardment from the wing.

Also it is the first game I will miss so far, so it is inevitable that they will win!! Get behind the lads and lets have em!!

I'm not even bothering to stay up late for this one. Busy day making sausages tomorrow, so with a bit of luck I'll forget all about the game and the associated misery. 7-1 with an own goal hat trick for our defence and a gust of wind blowing an errant cross in for us.

I'm actually starting to enjoy the misery. I'm not blaming anyone in particular for the current situation, just leaning back and wallowing in a different emotion. After being content and angry and happy at various time misery makes a refreshing change.
