Ok, so care to explain why he half heatedly went to close the ball down, then retreated. Then watched whilst Burke ran right around him?

No excuse for that.

Wants to look at the performance Feeney put in today and ask himself why he is a pale shadow of a player in comparison.

Credit to Dougie. Finally won though we made hard work of it in that last third of the game.

Wow, really can't quite explain how happy I am with that. Watched the whole game and thought it was a really good performance given the pressure the boys were under from the previous weeks. 1st half kept it tight and got our goal, same up until the 2nd and then had our classic moment of no concentration. I really like the partnership of Mills-Ream (big ball winner-smaller quicker sweep) and I think Mcnaughton was class. Bogdan made a great save in the first half but wasn't really tested aside from that which is testament to the back four and Spearing-Medo who I thought also had a good game today. Pratley was poor and I'd like to see Eagles in for him next game as Wednesday will sit deeper against us at the Reebok so that bit of flair that Eagles brings could be key. Beckford wasn't superb but I think he did well, he put a decent shift in, took his goal well and although he should probably have scored, was unlucky not to grab a 2nd with that header off the bar. Danns did his bit but is just getting his fitness back (then Chungy came on and made me wish we could put Danns back on). Feeney though... Superb! How in goodness name is he not making the Millwall XI? Pacey, great crosser, bit of skill (was my only smile in the last 20 minutes when he megged Robinson and whipped that ball in). Seems to want to prove himself too, just the sort of player we need right now!

Next 4 games are Sheff Wed Home, Ipswich Home, Bournemouth Away, Millwall Home... I'd say if we get between 6-9 points, we can start to focus on pushing up the table though my heart is saying we should be aiming for 10-12, I'm trying to be realistic.

Great stuff!

Well deserved win....never looked like losing that game.

I thought Feeney was bloody excellent, McNaughton, Mills, Ream in fact the whole back four did well - Medo also had a good game, and Beckford will get better with games and match sharpness.

Personally I thought Bogdan could have done better with their goal, and Pratley was absolutely awful should have been replaced much earlier with Eagles.

Feck, what do we do when we win one?

All I've done this season is drown my sorrows and kick the dog.

Feeney was excellent.

Excellently executed game plan from Wanderers there... Birmingham still hadn't worked out their counter attacking with 90 on the clock! Shame to concede from a soft set piece but otherwise they were camped in our half but doing nothing with it.

Dougie got the tactics right today, and his subs were effective in countering any new avenues the Birmingham changes provided.

I don't know about that. Our first goal was totally against the run of play. Once we got that goal and a couple of minutes behind us I think they settled in and did what they needed. Agree with Bogdan doing better... Chungy should have gotten the third, but... Damn broken legs. Seem to ruin a career.

One thing about these loans, is that surely they bust the myth about how great our own players are in comparison to the rest of this league?

I mean a lad who can't get in Milwalls side has put in a wing performance today better than anything we've seen from our players all season. And arguably as a traditional winger than we've seen all last season as well.

Danns has run his legs off and shown that he might not have the same ability but makes up for it with effort.

The long term job is seeing out the 'good on paper' players and replacing them with these types.

Obvious special mention for Feeney who can be awarded a no-questions-asked 10/10 for his shift today. Out-bloody-standing. Baptiste, Ream and Danns also impressed.

Mills defended well but was wasteful. As were Lee (who wasn't that bad and I certainly don't think he looked disinterested) and Cravies who both held the ball up well but botched some opportunities to kill time.

Bogdan made some superb saves. Hopefully one day he'll get some composure to go with his shot-stopping.

I'd like to mention Feeney again, because he was incredible today!
