Its gotta be Jaaskelainen's double penalty saves against Blackburn when we won 1-0 in 2006 for me. There's just something nostalgic about them 2 saves

6th January 1974, 3rd round FA Cup v Stoke, first Sunday game at Burnden, 39,000 packed into the ground, the pitch ankle deep in mud and a John Byrom hat trick. Bolton only just up from the 3rd division, Stoke going well in the 1st.
Because it was a Sunday at that time you couldn't charge for entry so you had to buy a programme at the turnstile to get in. Great memories. :D

Worthy at Old Trafford for the double.
They're dirty, they're filthy, they're never gonna last.

You could've picked him in the reverse fixture too, but that would probably have under estimated the performance that night from Mr James McDonagh. Great performance...

Ricketts vs Newcastle in 2002 at home
Dioufy vs Newcastle away 04/05 (I think scored two and generally took the piece)
Tony Kelly vs Wiggin (masterful performance capped by 'that' goal)
Campo vs Liverpool (already been said)
Sturridge vs Wet Spam (scored two and general looked like a world beater)
Djorkaeff every game
Pfffft.

Branagan at Wolves when we 'giant killed' em in the cup
Tony Caldwell v Walsall. Don't think I'm likely to ever see a Wanderer score 5 in a game again

Worthy v Stretford. Christmas time around 1978. Scored 2 v Gary Bailey. Simply took the piss.

Gary Jones ... v Man Citeh, League Cup around '73.
Also Gary Jones away at Sunderland early 1978. Unbelievably Good.

Thank you for reviving those memories.. Oh yes... :D

The one he got away with punching David Kelly will always have a special place for me

Jay Jay in the last 20 minutes at the Reebok against Arsenal was ace. 2-0 down, Arsenal strolling around acting like they were gods gift. Our lot thought feck off, not on our patch. 2-2 and Jay Jay really taking the piss down the left near the corner flag. I think that day really screwed Arsenal's chances of a trophy as well

What about Supa when he scored a couple against Reading, then went in nets and we still won? (It was Reading wasn't it? I know I'm getting older now, I used to have near-total recall on our matches).

Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Best player in the world for a few months.
Was the first one I thought of too, totally agree.

Unbelievable performance, I was stunned watching it. Even though he missed the penalty it's easily the best performance I've ever seen. He took the piss so much.

Frank worthington against Man U. It was Friday 22nd december 1978 bobo. My memories not THAT good but this website has everything history wise:

http://www.boltonwanderers-mad.co.uk/re ... ndex.shtml" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I was 11 and remember the red head band and a tantalising worthington performance, nearly got his hat trick

Jussi against Hull in the prem (which has also been mentioned)

I remember Roy Greaves with a captains performance against Spurs at home, I'm uncertain of the year 1977 I think, we won

Good post by the way!

Last minute winner, televised on MOTD

McDonagh made a save as good as anything I've seen since

I sat in the Burnden Stand in those days with my mum n dad - yet I'm sure I was in the Lever End as we scored

You must've been able to get into the Paddock and walk round back in the day

Is that then one where McNab (for Spurs) scored a 35 yd screamer into the top corner only to see it scratched of for off-side as (in those days 'correctly') a Spurs player out on the wing was a yard in front of the ball ?
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

David Lee against Liverpool was top class.

Frandsen in the Leicester 5-0.

Okocha against absolutely everybody in the Premier League from about November onwards.

Djorkaeff at Ewood when we came back to win 4-3 from 1-3 down.
