Re: Freedman out!
I want Freedman to succeed, really I do. I want him to because that will mean we are doing well, getting results, better crowds, better atmosphere ... all utterly obvious reasons.
But he's a fckg idiot and he's dragging us down ... in every sense. Today's transfer dealings are simply proof
of the blindingly obvious. I say this now in the very, very vague hope that he surprises me and comes out with something excellent. Still I hope he does but ... as I said long ago, it's the hope that kills you.
Gartside & Davies aren't going to do it, are they ? Not unless he has a Megson moment like the Hull game when the whole crowd explodes in anger and confusion.
But, after watching us for over 40 years I can honestly say he's the first manager who's finally made me not want to watch. It's like a slow motion car crash.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: Freedman out!
He's seemingly managed to somehow meld the the mind-numbing bollox that passed for "tactics" under Megson with the tactical and technical f*ckwittery of Coyle. Its truly breathtaking.
And he had his Hull moment against those other Tykes Huddersfield. Teflon. Not going anywhere.

Iles on the BN live transfer thing seemingly supporting DF's window, says the signings are longer term and not hasty, knee-jerk signings. A bit like City not getting the pair from Porto, they'll keep til the summer. Also, ruthlessly scathing (ish) about un-named previous manager(s)...bobo the clown wrote:Today's transfer dealings are simply proof of the blindingly obvious.

The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

Good for Iles ... but to me it looks more like he's ensuring we have a solid team for a promotion challenge from the 3rd division and a better level of not-quite-good-enough youngsters in the reserves.Armchair Wanderer wrote:Iles on the BN live transfer thing seemingly supporting DF's window, says the signings are longer term and not hasty, knee-jerk signings. Re: Freedman out!
To be fair to Dougie, trying to comply with FFP in Football Manager 14 is extremely difficult with Bolton.

Have a look in the database for what level the developers have put Duggie.Relentless09 wrote:To be fair to Dougie, trying to comply with FFP in Football Manager 14 is extremely difficult with Bolton.

Re: Freedman out!
Brian McDermott has been sacked by Leeds and he'd be another vast improvement on Freedman. There's a few decent options now, like Mackay and Clarke, and it's disappointing Freedman wasn't sacked before the end of the transfer window when someone more capable could have been brought in and had a chance to adjust the squad themselves.
Re: Freedman out!
I never thought I would agree ever with SF but McDermott would be great.
Leeds under new management. Hopefully they install Owen Coyle as the messiah.

Welcome to the dark side....![Wink ;)](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)
I like McDermott too. He's done alright at Leeds but the pressure put on him by the board was unfair and it clearly affected the players. He's a good manager though and did a really impressive job with Reading.

Re: Freedman out!
The Dick's wages will be too rich for leeds's blood.
theyre rumoured to be going bump again, so it'll be at least 2 weeks and a half point penalty before a new blank chequebook turns up at leeds deducted fc.
maybe then they'll get coyle..
.. and the other 50 members of his family.*

He didn't get them relegated, and didn't get the chance to take them back up. He did too well almost in The Championship with a far from spectacular group of players. Which sounds good to me because that's where we are.
...
