I'm not sure I'd recommend it!thebish wrote:Riviman wrote:TANGODANCER wrote:Bolton Wanderers wearing Fibrelec? kits that look like the Met Police XI , playing out of the Macron Stadium with a Yank as our most notable player, players who get homesick for Southampton, a distinctive shortage of razor-blades and a manager who is a walking conundrum. Yep, all the makings of a super season?
not really sure what difference it makes whose sponsor-name we have on the shirts - or the kit design - or the stadium name - or the nationality of one of our players - or facial hair, for that matter... but - hey! - each to his own! I'd take more notice of how we play, personally...

We were down the other week and took a walk around and by Christ they don't half have some crap in there.General Mannerheim wrote:Went to middlebrook today, popped in the club shop.
New Season - same old over priced jumble sale!
Left empty handed
My mate used to run the souvenir shop at St Mirren and he said it never ceased to amaze him what junk he could shift as long as he'd sewn a club badge on it.
I think that's the model the Happy Shop has latched on to.
I had money to spend but honestly couldn't even give the weans a fiver each to buy a scarf or a badge or anything it was so poor.
Like the the last days of Primark.
People will always want to buy tack but there also has to be people who want to buy something they wouldn't be embarressed to be seen dead in.
If it's not replica kits or a pennant signed by Mike Salmon you're after forget it.
Come on Happy Shop! Sort it out!
I'm not asking you to 'think outside the box' I just wish you'd have a rummage around in it once in a while.

is this what club shops ARE, though? I mean - seriously - what kind of BWFC brand merchandise would NOT be crappy old tat? what would you WANT to see sold in there?

A guy I know once got involved in supplying the DMBs with sovereign rings, only instead of a sovereign they had the DMB's badge instead. Proper Chavtastic.
He did quite well out of it too.
The guy he was dealing with actually said that they could sell basically anything if it had the club badge on.

Re: The Macron Stadium
some of the stuff is ok, scarfs, pendants, car paraphernalia & I liked the beach towel - but all hideously expensive. what gets me is the 'leisure range', its of a quality that primark would knock back and has been been designed by some one armed blind spaz.

Re: The Macron Stadium
I don't really bother during the close season, let's be honest it's getting harder to give a monkey's DURING the season so I only saw the Muriel yesterday.
I like it.
If I'd have done it I'd have called myself Embanksy.
I've seen it's got mosaics of Ream, SKD, Campo and Nolan on it who else?

That'd be Medo. Anelka is also on the wall as well, next to Diouf...Riviman wrote:Who is the one between SKD and Ream?
