Of course, but I bet PG would earn more now had he kept on his business career full time. He probably wouldn't get a load of abuse at petrol stations either.Lord Kangana wrote:Surely it makes it less of a chore though?
I'm just saying I don't believe PG is laughing all the way to bank here, which is often the portrayal.

No he isn't, but you wouldn't expect him to really as Chairman, now would you?Andy Waller wrote:he isn't paying to watch this toss though is he?Athers wrote:Of course, but I bet PG would earn more now had he kept on his business career full time. As for LK's point, there isn't a figure I could think of earning that would make watching us at the moment "less of a chore". It might cushion the blow a little, but less of a chore - probably not.

I think we should make him pay.
What's £400k divided by 23?
(He can have his match day programmes free).

Just make Phil and Eddie (sound like an 80s Stock Aitken Waterman act) watch read the crap Dougie puts in the media. They'll soon realise that he needs to go

Re: Gartside Out
Y'know ... I've never been that uppity about Gartside. He's certainly overseen some poor years after 10 great ones, but one very significant omission right here, right now is his failure to grab the one major issue bouncing around right now.
No, not the actual sacking of the greasy haired, Scottish tramp we have as our manager but the failure to communicate on the matter. He could, much to my chagrin, make a clear and definite statement to the fans saying "look, we know things are not going well on the plying front but .... (blah, blah, blah) ... but he's staying because (blah, blah) so let's all buckle down and move on".
... or he could sack the fckr.
Right now, and it's clear the club are aware of the huge disquiet, he's simply sitting on his hands, thus making the issue worse.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

On Saturday it was worse than anything I have seen under Megson at full time there were people punching the air, kicking seats and pointing at Freedman with looks of hate.Lord Kangana wrote:Get yer tin hats out.
And yes, I think its time for a change. On balance. Hopefully the atmosphere won't descend to Megson-level vitriol before that happens.
The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.

Aye there was none of that when Megson was here.

Re: Gartside Out
For a while it seemed like he was putting all his efforts into that whole "Premier League 2" scheme. Once that failed I wonder if he just gave up and is happy collecting his six figures.
Seems like the only notable thing he ever accomplished in football was appointing Allardyce which, while brilliant, was so long ago that the iPad I'm using to write this would have seemed like devilry at the time.

Re: Gartside Out
Not quite HP, he then secured funding for the next 12 years in the Prem, that saw us with top 10 finishes and funded Megson's "splurge" of something approaching 30?m.
