I really don't think you can correct a miracle...

Tal Ben Haim? I wondered what had happened to that greedy little nice person.

Nice to hear from you, Addick.

I quite liked Tal Ben Haim when he played for us, and didn't take umbrage when he left (at the end of the season, IIRC, rather than hopping in January). Each to his own though, and I know Bruce's arms do occasionally unfold...

You must be desperate if you're asking us for loanees, after Marvellous Marvin's record of scoring in five of his 31 league games for you last term... we're short of strikers ourselves: although we have a few young 'uns out on loan or available for it, I don't think any of them are ready for the Championship... or we'd be using 'em ourselves!

Good luck to you though (after tonight) - always got on well with Charlton fans, compared to the majority of other London teams.

Thought the same about Ben Haim when we signed him, was very unimpressed. However, he's been absolutely quality so far. Tries very hard, and says all the right things and seems a slide cent guy in interviews as well. Can't ask for anything more from him really.

There are many Charlton fans eating humble pie at the moment about how he has turned out, me included.

Sordell was woeful for us, but he would get in the side at the moment! So yes, you could say desperate!

We have a young striker who played the full 90 on Saturday (he's only 17!) but he's not ready yet, he only played the full 90 because Vetokele had to come off at half time.

Good luck to you too mate after tonight obviously. I like Bolton. You have a good squad aswell, can't see you going down with Lennon in charge.

Didn't Mark Fish end up at your place as well, Addick? And Claus Jensen? In fact, there are quite a few that played for both clubs. Charlie Wright? :D

Yes both of them. Claus Jensen has to be one of the most gifted players that I have seen in a Charlton shirt.

There is a thread on Charlton Life that is about player/coach links..

I always rated Ben Haim, thought he was possibly the best CB we had at a time when we seemed to be inundated with high quality ones.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that come the end of the season Dervite will be our player of the season.

Found this from four years ago, so he definitely was. Might still be.

Until Djorkaeff arrived Claus Jensen had the greatest vision of any player I'd seen in a Wanderers shirt. He could spot passes as if he was sitting in the upper tier of the West stand. Agree with the shouts on TBH too. He was a great player for us but his career seemed to have been in a tailspin ever since. If he's producing anything like his potential, I reckon the Addicks have got themselves a bargain. I still expect Beckford to rip him a new one tonight though :D

Crikey. I once saw him turning up for a game and getting out of a very modest C Class Merc. I remember thinking that they either don't pay him as much as the others or else he's a proper tight-arse.
