NL: "I was pleasantly surprised with what I saw of Emile in the Under-21s on Monday evening. He was very impressive."

Also:
"We've got a few players struggling with a bit of flu. Aside from that, we don't have any real worries aside from Craig Davies."
"Craig Davies is still struggling with a hamstring injury. He's touch and go at this moment in time."
"We'll be training late on on Christmas Day. It's important the players spend time with their families for the early part of the day."
"Lee Chung-Yong was fantastic against Millwall on a very difficult pitch. He actually glides across the surface."
"It will be a wretch to lose Lee in January, but it's out of our hands unfortunately. He will be missed, no doubt about it."
"Blackburn have got a good squad, and Jordan Rhodes is back in form. That said though, we're in good form ourselves."

He's on the pitch. He's wearing kit. But is he playing, Watson? Lestrade might think so, but I'm not convinced...TonyDomingos wrote:The hard evidence is here!EverSoYouri wrote:So, following the theme of the the thread, a case of 'rumour has it that Heskey played'?

Re: Rumour has it.............
So the question is... are Clough and Wilkinson better than Heskey at this moment and can handle the Championship defenders better than Heskey can? I reckon not so why not get him in. Hes a former international and free. A no brainer for me. It may or may not work. What do we have to lose?
Re: Rumour has it.............
At least for the rest of the season given our injury situation. Can't really hurt, can it?
Watched the Football League Show yesterday and Riley looked in good nick for Oxford. Surely it will be him at RB and Kellett/Threlkeld at LB next season?

Yet Tony Kelly in his pomp was completely overlooked by Graham Taylor. There's no accounting for taste.
Re: Rumour has it.............
Yup. So, too, is Hayden White and they'll all have a job trying to oust Vela from the role the way he's adapted to it. He's the new Joeyeoeo'Brien.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Thought Oscar T was a(nother) right-back?Vertigo wrote:At least for the rest of the season given our injury situation. Re: Rumour has it.............
Well, quite. Maybe White could be re-re-trained back to his original winger role. Maybe Threlkeld could play centre-back. Or maybe they won't all make it, which is usually the way with academies, but we'll have the gorm to include sell-on percentages when they go.Dr Hotdog wrote:Yup. This would excite me in a way that Eidur & Emile don't. Is there anything vaguely plausible to suggest it will happen?jaffka wrote:Looking at Commoms coming in January.

I'm sure I have shared plenty of duff info and had a few right ones.
Fingers crossed though

Lennon is interested in Nick Powell from ManUre, currently on loan but not getting a game for Leicester. Scored for The Pie-eaters against us in both games last season (including an outrageous off-side over head kick at the Pie dome)
Pfffft.
