How much did we pay for Danny Shittu? Zat Knight? Anything is possible!

Spearing's agent drumming up interest, and who can blame him?

Every transfer window, this is one of our most popular features:

It's likely that we have seen the last of chungy.

The club want to get something for him rather than his contract run down.

He isn't signing a new one.

Can't argue with that. Wonder how history will remember him.

I think he'll be remembered with fondness - but with a back-shadow of "could have been so much more"...

I'd really hope the fans would view him as one of our best recent signings. His dreadful dip in form after a horrible injury is now behind him (and I really don't buy the cynical theory that he's only started performing because he's angling for a move).

Topping and tailing his time at Bolton (if he does leave this month) have been performances of great energy, commitment and creativity (more than once game-changing). For me, my favourite player since the departures of Jay Jay and Youri.

Meanwhile, that Commons move is back on the agenda.

ps a quiet word in Mr Iles's shell-like. The phrase is 'close confidant' not 'close confident'. (pedant? Moi?)

Chungy wouldn't be the only player to struggle under Dougie and add in a bad injury and I don't think he should be judged harshly. He understandably wants to play at a higher level that he is capable of and realistically we aren't going to be going anywhere this season. If Lennon continues as well as he has started I can see temptation being dangled in front of him by the end of next season.

Although Iles should know better, the BN's subs should have corrected it. That's what they're for, although I suspect they're now underpaid overworked twentysomethings spat out of a schooling system that deprioritised spelling, reading, &c.

Interesting to be back in the days of Big Cup Draw = Sign Player. Phil Neal redux.

Hello, I'm From Israel.
There are a reports here that Maccabi Haifa is closing to sign Medo (on loan probably).
What can you tell about this player? What is your's impression from him?
Why he did not play since 24/9?

My apologies to the overworked underpaid comrades.

Phil Neal? Oh no! Does that mean we'll be looking to 'build on the vein I've started in'?! :hang:

Very impressed when he first arrived - hard-working, hard-tackling midfielder, who could spot and deliver a pass and had a ferocious shot on him, too. However, his form faded badly under the previous manager (the one who signed him) and he has not managed to impress Neil Lennon.

If you get the Medo we had at the beginning, you'll be very happy. I suspect, given the way he faded, not many Bolton fans would be very sad to see him go.

This morning's transfer column in The Times (therefore presumably behind a paywall) says we have expressed interest in Bradley Wright-Phillips

Keith Andrews off to MK Dons, apparently. So his wages are going to be paid by three clubs. :/

Won't he be older than his boss?
(and presumably better-paid)

31 in 37 this year and they've just upped his wages to designated player levels, I doubt we'll be seeing him!
