Come to Bolton, sustain an injury and get paid for doing nothing for months.

I see Craig Davies has got injured again. This getting ridiculous now. If it's another recurrence of the same hamstring injury then questions need to be asked about treatment and rehab. Just after he scored twice and looked good as well. Infuriatingly typical of the last couple of years. Feel very sorry for the lad.

It is a real shame but seriously undermines any idea of him staying next season . Can't really keep a striker who is out as much as he's available especially if Heskey stays . Reckon it's either or with those two and a less injury prone target man will be priority this summer .

I like him but if this keeps him out for the last 5 games they should release him and look elsewhere with Ivanhoe as backup. We can't afford to have another injury hit season, plus his finishing is wayward at best (saturday excepted!). If it requires a scan then it's probably more than just tightness so that double strike may have been the last we see of him. Not a bad way to go out if so.

.... add Paddy McCarthy to the list .... apparently left Griffin Park with his foot in an "air boot", normally used for a metatarsal injury.

This season just continues giving.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Are they just going to move the whole training ground to Bolton Royal and save the bother?

He seems like the right kind of player in terms of character, but sadly I don't think we can afford another one who is injury prone.

I'd be offering McCarthy a deal long before I'd be offering one to either Mills or Wheater, personally.

McCarthy and Dorian'd do me at the start of next year.

If your playing a back 3 i cant see how it could sustain mills, wheater and mcarthy. Three slow strong centre backs. We need a quicker one in there. I certainly wouldnt sign mills AND mccarthy. Wheaters always injured anyway. Dervite and Ream could work as part of a 3, not so sure about Dervite in a 2, definitley not Ream!

Ream would probably be ideal in a three at the back, being both fairly quick and good enough on the ball that he can play it out from the back. I don't mind the idea of that at all, particularly as that formation relies on wing backs and, whilst I like Ream, he's not quick enough or good enough going forward to be a wing back. Ream is effective as a left back in a back four but but in a back five, I'd prefer him central, although we'd then need to sign a new, quick and attacking left back.

Finally announced by the club that Tierney has retired at the age of 29.

Karma for Klasnic.

Indeed. He's a mate of a mate who informed me that the projected wrangling has been all to do with his insurance settlement as well as the period of time that's allowed to elapse before he plays again without having to pay any of it back. Allegedly, of course. ;)

Hehehe, 'allegedly'.

COMPLETELY OFF TOPIC. Have you heard about Anthony Kim? Star of the 2008 Ryder cup and winner of about 5 or 6 PGA Tour events?

I've seen him play, a few times. It's him with the snazzy belt, isn't it?

That's the one, last seen about 2011.

He might not hit a ball again on the PGA Tour because when he does a $10m insurance job becomes void.

Yeah, it's a real shame. Tierney looked to me to be the best full back we'd had at the club since Neil Cox.

Sad news indeed.

Will Andy Kellett step up?
