I wouldn't go buying gold goalposts.
C5 are paying £2m a year - "marginally better" than the BBC's offer, but it's nearly four years since the BBC decided the FL wasn't worth the money they were paying.
The bigger worry is the live deal. The three-year deal from the 2012-13 season which saw Sky take live games and BBC highlights was £195m - significantly down from the previous £264m joint Sky/BBC deal. Sky extended their live deal this February – but by just the one season...
