If carlsberg did transfer threads.....This would be it!

No news, and no rush, if he's training with us anyway, and there's no imminent game to register him for... unless we think he's a widely wanted man?

Oh I don't know. The sooner we sign him the sooner the month will pass before he scores. ;)

Just thinks it's odd that it's all gone deathly silent about him. Nothing at all from the match and then no news about whether we're signing him or moving onto another target. I understand there's no rush (per se) but it's a bit odd as to how quiet it's gone.

It's all very quiet generally. Even before the QPR game, I can't recall a quieter match thread; but for the meet-up cat-herding, it wouldn't have reached page 2 before the teams were announced.

Feels like everyone is jaded, from owner to board to manager to players to fans. There's not even the savage relief of demanding regime change: Lennon is a likeable man, potentially a good manager and almost certainly better than anyone we could tempt know we know how financially f*cked we are.

Must be what it's been like supporting Villa or something.

And the next one is Carlton Cole.

To me that suggests he's off his f*cking tits.

Can't Control as Spam fans labelled him? Sweet Jesus, he's stolen a living for years, hated by his own fans for being bone idle. Not for me.

No need. Not while the Trottster lives & breathes. All the better that he doesn't get game time.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Not good enough for Premier league these days but streets ahead of anyone else we are likely to get

You've been at the sherry again haven't you! He's bloody awful, lazy, poor scoring record. Allegedly, Sunderland are interested. Their fans are in meltdown and for good reason.

I laugh in pitty for those who complain about his (carlton cole) goal scoring record. You would cry and beg for Juke to come back to bolton cause he was successful at bolton. But if you look at his previous goal scoring record, and his current goal scoring record (Burnley) , you'd be nuts to choose Juke over Cole. Cole also scored 15 goals when west ham were relegated in the championship, the most goals scored in a season in his career. I personally think he would be a decent signing, over shola ameobi

Ah, in that case, I defer to your special knowledge of Cole and will disregard the opinions of thousands of West Ham fans who watched him for years and still couldn't abide the lazy git. Yes, strikers are confidence players and past history is no reflection on what might happen in future, but past attitude is. Remember Sordell??

SSN has just flashed up that we have also ended our interest in Shola Ameobi. Ahh well back to the drawing board. No striker before the Double Dingles game
Pfffft.

^^ can't say I'm especially distraught at that one.

In fairness, and this isn't an argument FOR signing that bag of wank, but I make it my life's business to disregard the opinions of West Ham fans wherever possible!
