If I win, I will buy BWFC. Send good thoughts my way.

It's as sound a financial plan as I've heard for the club so far.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

I'd say you were nuts if you bought a football club, loved for five minutes then despised as a tight bastard when trying to cut your inevitable losses.
(Actually the thought of paying some of those pussies masquerading as men and footballers, thousands a week would probably make me puke!)

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

If it really was $1.3 billion then it would be £839,744,702,409

That said 1300 million would probably keep the floodlights on for a couple of weeks!Lost Leopard Spot wrote:If it really was $1.3 billion then it would be £839,744,702,409

Is it true that they're only paying it out as $45m per year for 30 years or something?
Nice wage, but not sure you'd have much left over after our running costs!!

Fairly good colateral for borrowing a couple of quid I'd imagine even with my dodgy credit ratingboltonboris wrote:Is it true that they're only paying it out as $45m per year for 30 years or something?

You can do that, or you can take a lower total amount in a lump sum. That works out to a paltry $806 million.boltonboris wrote:Is it true that they're only paying it out as $45m per year for 30 years or something?

I'd be lying if I didn't think of buying the club if I won powerball. If I win through work however and split it 10 ways....at least I'll be able to afford to come see a game if anything drastic happens.

I'd buy my council house under the Right to Buy scheme and put new tyres on the Lada.
