Nolan's return to the Reebok

Sorry he is no longer a Wanderer so I hope he play's poorly, just in the same way that I hope all Newcastle players play badly. I don't want any of them to play well, end of story.Prufrock wrote:Yes, he is. 10 years, academy graduate, club captain, mainstay of our most successful team in 50 years, highest scoring player ever in the Prem whose name begins with 'N'Hoboh wrote: I know how I will, and inside I wish I had my AK47 handy.
FOR CRYING OUT LOUD FATBOY IS A BARCODED ENEMY not a bolton player nor a returning legend, every crunching tackle or misplaced nolan pass should be celebrated with great vigor.
COME ON YOU WHITES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Legend to me. Hope he plays well, gets a good reception, and we win.
Depression is just a state of mind, supporting Bolton is also a state of mind hence supporting Bolton must be depressing QED
I'm sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo glad that he had a bad game, gave away a penalty and was on the losing side. That's the way that I want any ex Wanderer to do when he comes back to the Reebok. Excellent

nobody was hoping he played well - it was about the reception he got!!!!FaninOz wrote:Sorry he is no longer a Wanderer so I hope he play's poorly, just in the same way that I hope all Newcastle players play badly. Nolan looked genuinely shocked by the reception he got. Before the game he went to clap the Newcastle fans then realised he was getting a standing ovation all round the ground and started clapping all 4 stands.
I think he thought he might get some stick.
He was wrong. I'd still have him back, though he'd not get in our team at the minute!

They did have a nice cuddle at the end to patch things up. He was a prick to Elmander all game though.TKIZ! wrote:He deserved the standing ovation at the start and also the chant at the end of the game. Funny to see him and Jussi have a bit of a ding dong though in the first half
Still, well deserved reception.
Not me that just noticed it,Tombwfc wrote:They did have a nice cuddle at the end to patch things up. what surprised me, but probably shouldn't have, was how much he whinged ... about every thing, absolutely everything. ... & when he did he lost focus for minutes at a time, continuing to winge.
It was the same throughout the team tbh, & in the end your performance will suffer for that.
Still, I thought the opening reception was fantastic & he went on to play very averagely.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Cracking reception for Kevin Nolan and I think its just deserved. He didn't leave the club in bad circumstances and we've not really struggled without him. It was always nice to have him around the team as he's definitely got a soft spot for Bolton. I'd like to see him back at the Reebok someday, not anytime soon mind you seeing as the situation is going really well for Bolton and really well for Nolan but definitely in the future.
I'm sure the reception he got made his day closely followed by the Bolton hammering which tainted it quite a bit but i'm sure it'll live long in his memory just how good that reception was.
All the best to him (just thankfully not at our expense)

In a world that has decided
That it's going to lose its mind
Be more kind, my friends, try to be more kind.

Yeah if this surprised you, you didn't watch Bolton between 2006 and 2009.bobo the clown wrote:what surprised me, but probably shouldn't have, was how much he whinged ... about every thing, absolutely everything. ... & when he did he lost focus for minutes at a time, continuing to winge.
He certainly repaid the warm welcome with that handball, what in God's name was that?
I'm glad he came back and gave us our first goolPrufrock wrote:Yes, he is. 10 years, academy graduate, club captain, mainstay of our most successful team in 50 years, highest scoring player ever in the Prem whose name begins with 'N'Hoboh wrote: I know how I will, and inside I wish I had my AK47 handy.
