So well worth the extra £4m then?

I can't understand why anyone wouldn't want Boyata in the team for this one. Whereas Steinsson's wandering against the 'pool was highlighted on MOTD, against manure Ashley Young was very quiet indeed (after having a very good game in the 8-2). Against Norwich there was one play in particular where ther winger was sprinting down our right and you're just hoping to either 1) hold him up, 2) get a block in or 3) put pressure on the cross. Instead of this Boyata somehow just takes the ball off him and carries on up the pitch.
It's baffling how for an AWAY game at the ARSE people either want Gretar in there or else they don't mind which one plays. Can anyone explain this to me?

The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

yeah, the "he's from man city's reserves, he is better than all our team combined" disease [that] people had 12-18 months ago has worn off slightly.Armchair Wanderer wrote:I can't understand why anyone wouldn't want Boyata in the team for this one. So Daniel Sturridge shouldn't have started every game for us? If we'd have spent £8M or so and bought him you'd want him on the pitch?

and sturridge were from chelsea's reserves.
although he was 'shit hot' even when he were at city.
in december we'll be linked with micheal johnson and most folk on here will think he's the second coming of jesus , despite him probably being less fit than sean davis .

For those pre-game pinting, Dartisan and I are likely to rock up in Big Red for at least one or two beers pre-game - maybe in time to catch a bit of Citeh v Toffees.

ww has to be zat knight himself or his mum!ratbert wrote:http://www.the-wanderer.co.uk/bolton/re ... ix-pointer

Good preview, agree on points re formation but Zat Knight should not play on account of us shipping loads of goals since he returned last season and coyle having a 3m pound plus replacement. More relaxed re robbo as i appreciate gardner may not be fit but if he is he should play! and yeah davies out as well.

Great preview WW, I'm looking forward to this one.
My lineup would be:
Jussi
Boyata - Cahill - Wheater - Robbo
Muamba - NRC
Eagles - Tuncay - Petrov

I'm struggling to see how you're that baffled, given that you're apparently basing it on a MoTD video package, Ashley Young going missing in a game and one moment in another game, a game in which a Boyata mistake led to them scoring.Armchair Wanderer wrote:I can't understand why anyone wouldn't want Boyata in the team for this one. I don't think there's much between them at all.

Re: The Only way is Up? - The Gooners match thread
Arsenal will welcome back fit-again midfielders Aaron Ramsey and Tomas Rosicky and defender Bacary Sagna.
This the main talk in the pub last night. As per, the Arsenal fans were along the lines of "Need to win this" while the pessimists were bemoaning the fact that their season would effectively be over if they don't tonk us. I've never seen such negativity in past seasons and if this has transferred to the team I can only think that this will be a win for us. Most of last season they were saying Rosicky was crap. now he's becoming a hero, though F knows why. If OC starts Holden and we employ shock troop methods we could be two up before half time. Well, I'm very optimistic about this game.

Whilst a win is far from nailed on, we certainly have a chance in this one. We'll know more when we see the lineup/formation but there's no doubt we need to come out the blocks hard and fast. Movement off the ball and harrying when not in possession is essential. Scoring the first goal will really put the pressure on Arsenal and it's no secret we get much better results when we do.
