So will I, but the players do need to put on a performance to restore some belief and trust!

1. points
2. clean sheet!
3. goals for
4. performance
5. number of fans that went
6. place on MOTD
Would agree with that.

Whether jussi is fit or not they have a better keeper than us now...may be a factor

Never mind 'since stoke' I'm still pissed off with stoke (probably obvious). About time we showed some backbone. Wankers!

Performance would be great. The 0 bit is very important though.

Would rather we won 5-4 than drew 0-0!

yeah - but that wouldn't necessarily indicate a "performance" - shipping 4 goals and squeaking a win - just a win, surely?

Scoring 5 would at least indicate some sort of an attacking performance though!

ahh - I thought you meant something more significant when you said we had to give a "performance"

By a performance I mean some sort of intent to play with tempo, get on the ball and dominate.

Trying to hold on for a 0-0 is not good enough at this stage for me. Go out, put in a performance and win, show that we have a decent forward line and can supply them the ammunition.

Wigan are slight favourites for this on 188bet with a draw being the least likely option. With it being a relegation dogfight it's almost worth putting something on a draw, but having said that there will be at least one goal to someone... and betting is a mugs game.

After 2 weeks off I'm looking forward to this one from the armchair, if only for having something else to moan about afterwards.

hmmm - dominate AND let 4 goals in??? how does that work!

(nobody has suggested holding on for a 0-0)

Arsenal did it against the Dingles.
They're dirty, they're filthy, they're never gonna last.

We could win 1-0 and still dominate. It's about seeing intent, tempo, desire and some belief.

yeah - but can we let 4 goals in and you come away saying we dominated and gave a performance?

You can dominate without a crushing scoreline. City beat us 3-2 this season, but it was certainly a dominant performance!

Why?

Same points, same goal difference.

But more goals scored, which can define a league position and a more entertaining game to watch.

because I'd rather not have a defense that concedes 4 to wiggin!! we need to start conceding less!!

1-0 gives us 3 points and a clean sheet (building defensive confidence)
2-0 - better!
3-0 - dreamland

5-4 - happy to win - but still unsure about the defense...
