I found this at my mum and dad's recently. It's a shame I scrawled all over it with highlighter! Frankie says 'Up the Bromley Cross U9s' if you can't make it out!

Now there's a T-shirt you never saw in the mid-eighties.

Rare footage at 2:15 of the 1976 Bolton v Newcastle, F.A. Cup 5th Round Second Replay at Elland Road, in front of 42,280. Over 139,000 watched the three games in total and we were a Second Division club at the time.

We won both the F.A Cup and the Charity Shield that year. Team is, back row: Hartle, Higgins, Edwards, Hopkinson,Hennin, Banks (and Bert Sprostron)
Front row: Birch, Stevens, Lofthouse, (Bill Ridding) Parry Holden, Gubbins. (Ralph Gubbins didn't play in the final but had a great game in the semi, so was included).

Bottom pic is players and cup arriving on the Town Hall Square. (I was in there somewhere in front of the Cenotaph. It was absolute madness) Happy days.

First thing I can remember in my life was being on my dad's shoulders in a big crowd. In later years he told me I was on his shoulders outside the Town Hall when the Wanderers brought the FA Cup home in 1958. My dad went to the Final. He also went to the final in 1953. I was three years old in 1958. That photo just sent a shiver down my spine TD!

God bless you Dad. Miss you.

Strange to think of now, but back then we still had trolley buses running around the town centre (you can see the cables) and no-traffic precincts weren't heard of. Buses went across the town hall square and Trinity Street had a glass-roofed arcade type thing on the pavement down most of it . Mind you, that was when Burnden Park was the centre of the universe.

Great pics :D

Oh and some men painting the front of Burnden park too!
And is that a Ford Anglia I can see underneath/by the entrance to the supporter's club? :D

Not sure what year it'll have been taken. Pre-Happy Shop I see. Anyone know when the supporter's club was built?

I thought it was a MK1 Cortina,,But yeah could be an Anglia..

Speaking of barbers, I used to go into Jeff James' on Blackburn Road and ask for a 'John McGinley' a la Andy Waller's picture. I think I would've been better off asking for a hedghog.
