Which all ignores the extremely likely scenario of an injury to N'Gog.ChrisC wrote:I think he does aswell, I just think Beckford and Ngog will get the gig for most of the league season. Maybe use Eaves in the cup games and late on when we are seeing a game out.IggyTheDawgster wrote:I can. He deserves it too, Been great when we've sent him on loan, Earned his chance.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Austin's move to QPR now confirmed. Good for us I think.ChrisC wrote:I am hoping Austin has moved on before Saturday. He will be eager to show potential buyers he isn't crocked.

Yep. Can only be a positive. Until QPR rock up at the Bok a few games latermalcd1 wrote:Austin's move to QPR now confirmed. Good for us I think.ChrisC wrote:I am hoping Austin has moved on before Saturday. He will be eager to show potential buyers he isn't crocked.

Re: First Match of the New Season
Just because Charlie Austin scored goals for Burnley doesn't mean he'll score them for the Rs.
Let's hope not, anyway...

just because Beckford scored all those goals for Leeds doesn't mean... oh feck!

Could say something similar about Rhodes if he came here.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Just because Charlie Austin scored goals for Burnley doesn't mean he'll score them for the Rs.

If it is between those two I would say Cravies however..... I would like to see what this Wilkinson is made off so we could play Wilkinson and Cravies.HMX wrote:Okay... so Sordell loaned out to Charlton changes all our line-ups.
Who is going to start up front?
Beckford isn't fit yet. N'Gog or Davies?

I would have thought in a game against Burnley Andrews would be re likely.thebish wrote:bobo the clown wrote:Oh dear.Jakerbeef wrote:Well that's torpedoed my enthusiasm somewhat. God I hate that tw*t Battenburg.boltonboris wrote:Mark Twatting Twattenburg is "taking over" this one.

At least he can't book KD as the teams warm up.
Wonder which of our lot he'll book first ?
Wheater.

Bogdan
Baptiste-Knight/Wheater-Tierney
Pratley-Andrews
Eagles-Medo-Hall
Ngog
Lee, Beckford, Mortiz etc won't start but will probably appear from the bench.
Not bad but I'd rather Lee in there somewhere and obviously Beckford/Mortiz up front if they turn out to be any use.

Re: First Match of the New Season
Back five as everybody's picked, Andrews and Medo in central midfield. Eagles is a shoo-in and Hall has shone brightest in pre-season, so I'd expect those two out wide, assuming Chungy hasn't passed the beep test.
For the other two, it gets harder to predict. None of the strikers seems quite ready - Beckford for match-fitness, Ngog for any fitness – and I would expect DF to only play one up top. It wouldn't astonish me to see Cravies doing an hour's stint, with Jermaine and Daveed on the bench. The spot in behind the striker could well be Pratley.
Not saying it's the team I'd pick, but it's not far off it.

Re: First Match of the New Season
If our side for the opening game, or indeed any other game (including the possibility of us drawing a bunch of amateurs in the 3rd round) looks even remotely like that, Daniel, then I'll be cancelling my payments and requesting the necessary papers to have Freedman certified!
