Re: By Hove!
We're in the "be seen and be safe" shirts today with Bogdan in mellow yellow.. A white sash and we'd look like a set of traffic cones. We kick off. Upson heads an early attack clear and we start to build, no we don't, Brighton come at us and Pratley gives away a throw and now they have a free kick. We're all in our back 18 and Chungy has to give a way a corner. And...
Pratley clears fro a throw. Brighton won't give us the ball and Mills clears well and Baptiste, then Tierney have to clear. Free kick thirty out for them and it's all happening...not for us yet. And....its a goal kick us.

Sadly a regular occurrence when I commuted on the line. When this happened in the south of London part of the line, they'd dump the folk going to the far north of the line around St Albans. They'd then ignore you for a few hours until they send a 4 car train your way. Meanwhile they send all the trains south into the congested area where they get stuck. This is why that particular train company is run by feck*.BWFC_Insane wrote:Think someone jumped in front of a train off a bridge, so probably in this case not the train companies fault!Abdoulaye's Twin wrote:First Crapital Disconnect. Re: By Hove!
They press again and Pratley gives it away. All defence from us against Lua-lua and co. Still not letting us have the ball, miserable xxxxxxs. Chungy set us off and then Eagles loses it and back they come again. N'gog wants a free kick, gets nothing and Upson clears. Decent crowd apparently as Brighton again play keep ball. Cross cleared and Lua lua shoots wide and wild.
Ream clears bu they come again amd again. Come on you Whites...get stuck in and get that ball. Another cross goes begging for them and it's all defence fo r us after ten mins. We go long and they get it back again. All Brighton as they shoot wide again from Calderon.

Chungey feeds Eagles and his cross get deflected for a corner. And...it's cleared before its cleared, before its cleared and.....Ohhhh, N'gog fluffs a real chance from a break. They come again and again before Baptiste has to block before we get another goal kick.

Re: By Hove!
With that ultra syrong, ultra defensive minded midfield isn't the plan that we boss that atea ... or am I missing something ??
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Why N'Gog starts on his own is beyond me. You can't bring a player in because of their goalscoring ability and then play such a non-threatening striker instead. I don't know what Beckford must be thinking. N'Gog is the better player I think but out of the two, if you're only going to play one striker, it has got to be Beckford. We have to take those chances.

Re: By Hove!
A one on one and N'gog hit the keeper. Cor, that man is a striker...? Chungy tries again but they get it back again. Lua lua can't keep it in and...Eagles tries a distance one that the keeper fumbled. They come again and N'gog heads one into nobody. Baptiste wins a throw that results in an Eagles cross being headed away from N'gog. They're having far too much possession so far but we clear for a throw. They win another corner off a deflection and.....a decent effort goes over our bar from a volley.

You can't pick a lone striker on workrate alone. It's not like N'Gog is a Tevez or Rooney type, who'll chase everything but can score. N'Gog presents very little goal threat.BWFC_Insane wrote:Workrate......SmokinFrazier wrote:Why N'Gog starts on his own is beyond me. I suspect the idea is to bring a goal threat on later in the game once defenders are tired a bit. In theory at least.SmokinFrazier wrote:You can't pick a lone striker on workrate alone. Mind it's not like Beckford has been banging em in either. And Ngog offers a little more outside the box.
