Feeney sounding lively so far. Owls awake and looking to get forward...Eagles...Beckford...cleared, but eager movement from Beckford. Ream gets forward....Eagles, Feeney and....Kirkland grabs it. Our lads sounding up for it and "lively" as Danns gets fouled. Free kick goes nowhere in particular and then the Owls get forward and get a shot in that goes wide. They come again and....Bogdan has to make a spectacular save one-handed.

Baptiste getting run a bit ragged and they get a corner. And.....Bogdan saves again after an almost free header. What's happening ...corner again..and...a goal kick results. Real spell from the Owls there. Ohhhhh 1-0 Beckford scorees... :oyea:

Really hope this is the start of something for the lad. A firing Beckford would make all the difference.

A break forward after their pressure saw Beckord get forward and hit the onion sack. Veeeeery nice. A shaky spell ends in a goal for the lads. Keep it up lads and now they have a throw. Antonio making a few unwanted waves on our beach. We clear and.....Beckford has another shot deflected. Nice movement from us and Eagles......and Baptiste and Beckford end up going for the same ball. We're sounding awake, but we need to focus. Beckford "looking a million dollars" says the man.

Mills sounding busy in defence but coping well enough. Bit of long stuff looking for Beckford. Eagles loses it then reclaims it well. Eagles and Beckford working well and Eagles getting the plaudits for work effort. Owls have a do and McNaughton wins a free kick. McNaughton breaks it up and gets us going. Kamara getting good words. And.....another attack from us gets knocked out for a throw. Mills and Ream sounding decent but it's still sounding to and fro stuff. And it's 1-1 as Baptistee scores a homer.

Baptiste got caught going the wrong way and headed it in and we're playing uphill again. A few sharp challenges going in on the half hour. Baptiste not having his best day and the Owls are more than keen. They win a corner, and.....it's just over from an unmarked Johnson, five yards out. We eventually get the goal kick. The man claims we are playing the better football, but we need to turn it into goals. Beckford sounds really up for it, but the Owls do a twit or two to keep us awake. Danns get blown offside and then Mc Naughton clears for a throw. Owls subs warming up in the nest. Antonio still keen and Eagles makes a bad tackle before they have another dab at us....

Not seen whether it was a bad one or unlucky but I've been very unimpressed by Baptiste so far, after having high hopes. Seems to be very vulnerable to an even half decent winger, TD mentioned he was getting run ragged earlier, again.

For 10 minutes we were direct, clinical and efficient. The rest we have been lazy and uncoordinated. Eagles has been the epitome of this

Ream clears and we're "looking a bit stretched" before winning a free kick. Now we go and it just goes over Feeney's head. Baptiste could have done better with the cross. Now Danns, Kamara..Danns....Johnson fouls him and we win a free. Ream..and....ref has to sort the troops out...and....it's too deep. Now would be a good time to get a nose in front again. They're having the possession right now and...Beckford does well before we win a throw. Bogdan whacks it and it's to a fro stuff again. Owls shaping well and we need to get a bit of momentum. Lost our shape a bit at the moment and we can't get the ball. Bogdan does well and grabs it. Half time looms as they come again....Antonio again as Owls finish the half on top. And now.....Ream makes a great tackle to clear our lines. Ream and Mills getting the good words before Danns gets just off-sided when clear. Baptiste not getting the happy chat.
Antonio tries a break but Medo and Spearing clear. And it's 1-1 at half time.

Oddly doing the same. The ivy has taken a hammering.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
