Apart from the first 15 minutes thought Blackpool were (scarily) the better side in possession throughout. We had the better chances though and Beckford should've killed it off obviously. If we wanted finishing like that we may as well have kept N'gog!
We'll have to play better against Wigan, these lot have been the worst team in the league for six months.

The amount of times Fuller got between Ream and Wheater in space was pretty frightening.. He dragged them all over the show for a while.
Second half, I thought we looked fairly comfortable defensively. The never really got behind us, but the pressing around the edge of the box was poor.

The number of times they had a man free in a shooting position just outside the box was, as you say, frightening. Speaking of shooting, can somebody explain to me how someone that does nothing but kick a football all week miss the target by so much (thinking of a Danns effort in the first half) - if they miss by a few feet fair enough but from where I was in the North Stand it appeared to miss by the width of the pitch.

I dunno, I didn't ask (the driver). But you should have seen the look on the AA man's face when he turned up, only beaten by the look on my wife's face when she turned up later. It sounds (from the above reports ^ ) though, that I had about as much enjoyment as I would have if I had managed to get to the game.Little Green Man wrote:![]()
LLS, the Deadman you had in the back - was it Saturday's referee?

Zzzzzzzzz worst game ever in living memory bar none. Ever.
Can someone remind me where we are in the blaming the players or blaming the system/ manager debate. Absolute shambles of a performance in terms of control and pattern of play. And boring to boot. The players have either taken it upon themselves or /our system seems to be, knocking the ball between the back five, before one of them gets bored and launches it forward.
Its happened far more times than matches like blackburn, which suggests that it is what is worked on in training as our system. If this is the modern way /future, its crap.

For me it seems like we've reverted to type and the successful .... and really quite attractive ... style we bumbled upon for 2 games (Blackburn and Leeds in case anyone's forgotten) has shown to be a flash in the pan.StaffsTrotter wrote:Can someone remind me where we are in the blaming the players or blaming the system/ manager debate. Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: Visit of the Orangemen from Dublin....
We've got a front man, first real one since K.D, that can actually win things in the air. He also makes the ball stick and uses it well. Cue, bang it up to Juke. One thing I've noticed more than once is the way our players dawdle about, at throw-ins especially. The guy with the ball looks around and sees two or three players backs as they trudge away at two miles a fortnight..StaffsTrotter wrote:
