You stupid c*nt. No-one asked about the cheapest place. We are arriving by various means and need to know where best to meet. Don't worry, Dan. I obviously asked you for advice on something that, as usual, is beyond the limit of your comprehension. We'll sort it out amongst ourselves.
Given I have only ever in my entire life been to Watford once I am not claiming to be an expert, I just know of a good pub that I suggested we meet at. I was just trying to be decisive given you told me not to f**k it up, looks like I have anyhow.
See you there, Dan.

Ground is 0.5 miles from the centre. As some are coming in at Watford High Street, would it not make sense to meet there? Parking should be easy too!
We're looking to meet up at a pub, as far as I know. Unless you're suggesting that we simply wander up and down Watford High Street on the off chance? :conf:

Sorry. I did mean at a pub close to the station. Might have been better had I stated that intention! I can do some googling to see what is nearby, or at least on the way to the ground and looks respectable.

The Oddfellows practically across the road from the ground, is away friendly apparently! Sounds appropriate, if only for the name!

Edit - Match day BBQ!

See you there, Dan.
I've had a look online. It looks ok for food, disappointing for real ale, fine for lager and wine. Not a bad shout! If the ground is close enough.

Yeah they post them up until about 3 days before the game.

Just bought my ticket!
For Watford I presume?

Daniel. This is your moment. Don't feck it up. What is the name of the pub where everyone should meet, regardless as to how they're getting there. The best meeting place.
I'm less concerned with that - are we doing lunch at the Cock or Bull this trip?
Looking at the timings of this today, Will, and it's going to be very difficult, unless they'll take us for lunch at about 11:30
Really?

Managed it for the Cup Game - though, true, that didn't involve a pre match TW meet up.

Anyway, I reckon Dan's suggestion is as good as any if there's parking and it's near the ground.
Parking should be fine, it's 1 mile walk from the ground.

It was rather harsh. Sorry, Dan. I'll buy you a fizzy pop on the 9th. (Or a can of cold soup) ;)

So it's sorted is it?

What time does the Happy Hour commence, bearing in mind a one mile walk to the ground and at least one of us is a pensioner with a heart condition?

The ticket site will only let me buy one ticket as I only have one client reference number!

I haven't had this issue before... Anybody else seen this?

I bought half a doz by phone yesterday. With only my ref no.

Phone picked up promptly, deal done quickly, tickets arrived this morn. This is only poss when tickets have gone on open sale. Which they did yesterday.

The ref no problem is unique to online purchase.

No idea if this has been covered in this thread so far or not, but we're doomed. That fast lad, Lloyd Dyer, who tormented us in Leicester's colours for the past however many years in the Championship signed for Watford on a bosman last month. hahaha. ha. haaaaaaa. crap.

That'll be two years then ?!?!
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

If you all would rather meet somewhere more central then that's not a problem by me, I don't mind where we go, as I said I was just making a suggestion. The Happy hour is just over half a mile walk from Bushey, a mile from the ground and Watford high street station, but almost 2 miles from Watford Junction station.

discuss!
