Thanks Tango for the commentary. I've read it back post match... It gives a 'kinder' interpretation' of the actuality. It's piss poor however that the match thread now consists of five desultory pages. Where did it go so wrong?

Dunno Spots. I sometimes get the impression I'm just out there shouting at myself. Dog enjoys a good bark though. :D

First home game I've missed for a while, glad I chose the Rivington Pike Race instead. I really hope Lennon is learning lots from these games and using it to shape his squad, at least the depressing shite will be worth something. Just want this season put out of its misery and I guess from the lack of activity that most feel the same.

This felt like a last match of the season when the league is done and dusted and all the players have one foot on the beach to their holidays....except Blackpool didn't play like they were!!!
My God we were poor first half! I don't know whether Lennon was playing the tactic of hoofing the ball up to Le Fondre, but Mills carried it out expertly every time he had an opportunity to do so. The only players to come out with any credibility from that match were Bannan, Ream, Le Fondre, Vela did ok and Heskey was kind of ok when he came on...The rest? No idea where they were but they weren't on that pitch. I had been thinking for weeks should I get a season ticket for next season...On that performance i'm still not sure

Eidur scored - he did SOMETHING right - surely he deserves a mention? :D

Looks like both sides needed some banjo training. That miss of Bannan's.....

What was the Pool player mumbling about at the end?

Presumably we are the only team not to beat blackpool this season? A bit embarassing really. Sooner some of the shites contracts are up the better.

Great defensive clearance by Heskey in the build up to our goal. :?

He was probably complaining that Eidur was offside which he may well have been as there wasn't one plus the keeper between him and their goal line. :conf:

It was a fair shout, but not correct. He was level with the keeper when Danns hits it, plus the players on the goal line back where the cross was at the 18yd point, and another level with the 6 yard line as well keep him on .... I think.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Aye looked to be plenty when Danns hit in. One of those where they're coming out as he's going in so looked mega offside by the time he touched it.

Bannan's miss

Interest died a long time ago. I am, though, looking forward to going to Brentford away. Apart from that, it's just a case of going through the motions.

Ah. Brentford away. My third game of the season. I feel an Enoch-esque thread coming on ...

Reckon there'll be many going? I'm hoping for a good day out and for us to derail their promotion push.

I'm hoping for a decent showing from the SE / London branch.

I'd be there, except I'll be in Cyprus

I might remember to check the score...
