In terms of "can't afford to pay them" then Wheater, Mavis & Pratley's brother must be up there. Amos too. Not to mention "pay-by-the-minute" Heskey.

Moxey has turned his former around but we have all those full backs we aren't picking available.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Oh I'm heartbroken, a young player who is still 50/50 about if he'll make the grade, earning a couple of grand a week, could net us around 450 grand to keep the club afloat?

About x number of years too late! we could have had a bit more cash in hand if we didn't have to spend on developing youth only to be binned off for now't as happened.

Not a long wait then!

I do think he's overrated by some but will be sorry to see him go. I've seen him put in some impressive performances but not enough to justify the fuss yet.
However he has the potential to be a lot better and the fee received will only disappear into the abyss. I doubt he's paid enough for his wages to make a sizeable dent in the wage bill, especially while Medo and Spearing are pulling in s lot more I bet. So all in all we gain little financially and lose a potentially very good player. A sad day if he goes.
