7 points is nothing in this league and we have half a season to recover.
indeed! jolly rude of the teams above us not to be gaining points while they wait for us to make up the seven!!

We can't afford to sack him but we can afford to place him on gardening leave. If that was to happen, then it would most probably mean that Jimmy Philips would be in charge for the rest of the season.DJBlu wrote:Marc Iles twitter:

Yup that's right we can afford to sack you. What a joke this whole club has become.

We had plenty of opportunity to usher him through the door last week on grounds various but several including aspects of gross misconduct. The club elected not to do that. They must actually want him to stay. I'm not sure why HE wants to tbf
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Reports of bricks smashing the windows on the team bus... anyone there care to shed some light?
Re: Another Neil in the Coffin - Rotherham (A) 26/12/15
Because the only way he can now salvage a career from his future is to turn this around. I don't think he can, but if he doesn't, his career in management might be fatally damaged in England.bobo the clown wrote:We had plenty of opportunity to usher him through the door last week on grounds various but several including aspects of gross misconduct. Please walk Lennon. Save us the money to pay you off to leave. Do the honorable thing. But then again, after last week, it is clear that you have very low standards so this maybe asking too much of you.

Its not surprising if true - this shower of spineless shite don't deserve a coach home, they should be made to walk homeDr Hotdog wrote:Reports of bricks smashing the windows on the team bus... anyone there care to shed some light?

Coz he will hang on till we can sack him so he can get compo.bobo the clown wrote:We had plenty of opportunity to usher him through the door last week on grounds various but several including aspects of gross misconduct. The only reason he is still in a job is because the club are just drifting till new owners come along.

It's only the third? fourth? time this season we've lost by more than one. A spineless team would collapse much more often.
Seems to me that after the Shag Hotel farrago and subsequent quotes this was Lennon's big chance - against one of v few teams almost as bad as us - to get a win as vital for morale as for the actual relegation battle. Such a pitiful result shows a perhaps terminal lack of spirit.
Bolton's away fans tend to be more positive (gallows humour?) and get behind the team. Might be different if we're humiliated at home in front of a TV audience and a mocking rival fanbase. But even if the fans turn on Lennon en masse, who's to listen?

Not having that PT. We are spineless. A team with anything about them wouldn't have such a terrible, appalling record.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:It's only the third? fourth? time this season we've lost by more than one. A spineless team would collapse much more often.

Forget the nonsense about losing narrowly. We are spineless, cowardly, pathetic and lacking in any fight or soul.
The manager is the worst I can remember. The team worse than any I remember. Even in the 80s the lack of ability was more forgivable as they weren't paid the fortunes these lot are.
Feck the lot of them. They've had a lot of support and thrown in back in the fans faces.

Re: Another Neil in the Coffin - Rotherham (A) 26/12/15
If we lacked fight and spirit we wouldn't have come back from behind against Fulham or two behind at Charlton. If we were completely spineless etc we'd have folded like a shit deckchair each and every time behind. Which is what we did today, but have we been beaten 4-0 every week, including by teams than Rotherham? No.BWFC_Insane wrote:Forget the nonsense about losing narrowly. We're a poor team, I get that. And this is the Internet, I get that. But it doesn't have to be so simplistic. It is, with all due respect, nonsense to say that we are "spineless, cowardly, pathetic and lacking in any fight or soul". Things are a bit more complicated than that.

Re: Another Neil in the Coffin - Rotherham (A) 26/12/15
The first half was pretty even, we were playing ok, albeit that there were two poor teams out there. Zach should have scored in the 1st half with his 1 on 1 with their goalie, but shot at the keeper.
2nd half??? Just wasn't the same team out there, or Rotherham upped a gear. Whichever it was, I'm sorry but there was no fight or commitment in that 2nd period AT ALL!!!
It's true about the players coach being bricked and by our own fans. The fans turned on Lennon and the players by the time the 2nd goal went in, the players might as well have gone off the pitch by then because their heads had gone already. The players were a disgrace!!

Maybe so, but our fans bricking their own players coach? Just what the xxxx did that prove? Frustration we all know about and it must be magnifed for match goers, but come on...twilight wrote:The first half was pretty even, we were playing ok, albeit that there were two poor teams out there. Didn't say I condone it Tango, just saying what happened.
But I also don't feel any empathy, in fact after what I witnessed this afternoon, I feel absolutely nothing for that team
