Lennon in the Times this morning claims he's not had a piss for more than a year
Neil Lennon wrote: when I came here I thought the wage bill was excessive, we have trimmed that right down, but when you lose quality, and can't replace it, then that becomes difficult from a footballing aspect.
On the outside people look at the results and go 'well he's not doing that great a job' and I understand that. But we haven't been able to freshen the team up. I've not spent a penny since I came here.

^^^ after hunting for Coyle & especially Freedman to f'cough I'm determined not to get on a 'Lennon Out' campaign .... and he HAS had to do the things the others claimed to be doing.

But while I can live with lesser players being here I don't understand lack of fight or passion.

Regarding him not spending ... why did Prince, Cassado ^ Pisano arrive to then not be played ? Why had Medo been given, literally, not even a minute ? Do we see Spearing as not worthy of more than occasional games ? Could Wooler miss more sitters than Madine does ?

I can cope with straightened times. I can cope with failure & relegation. Not with an apparent lack of fight.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

I'm not arsed about yesterday, I'm actually glad we're out of the cup

But with regards to Lennon its not just a clear lack of fight, lethargy or passion by the players on the pitch bobo, which is there for all to see week in week out - its also the lack of organisation, leadership & basic tactical awareness - Lennon gets out thought tactically almost every week.

The team play like they are not coached, they play like a team of complete strangers, as a bunch of talentless individuals who couldn't give a fcuk and simply don't want to be here, they look unfit (lethargic) compared to the opposition teams & they certainly don't play for the manager, the club or the fans.

As one who was absolutely made up when we got him - he's turned out to be a complete & utter dud, he talks the talk in the media but is absolutely useless tactically & organisationally - Eddie Davies has had a major effect on the current situation and it clearly isn't helping, but Lennon is as bad as any manager we've had in recent memory.

Why? You don't recognise the fact that a lucrative 5th round draw might have been beneficial just now, do you not?

Because its my opinion....

Surely we are allowed an opinion, even if it differs from others - are we not ?

there is a difference between denying you an opinion - nobody is doing that!
and asking why you might hold such an opinion - that's what bruce did!

But why do I need to explain why I'm glad we are out of the cup ?

For what's its worth my opinion is that, although I do think that we will be relegated I would still rather that we concentrate on trying, yes trying to stay in this division however unlikely it would seem.

Of course, but I'm asking you how come you've formed such an opinion? My opinion is that your opinion is dickish in the extreme.

Obviously a lucrative 5th round draw would have been great financially. But I can see the apathy towards it all. I have to say that whilst for the club winning on Saturday would have been great, the fans seemed barely interested as did the players. Perhaps it is chicken and egg and both need the other to get them going. But I could barely get bothered as it became evident we'd be making no further progress.
