Re: The countdown- Where will we finish?
Sheff Utd still have to play Coventry and Chesterfield at home. Port Vale and Northampton and MK Dons away.
Their other game that looks a bit trickier is Bradford at home.
Hard to see them not winning at least 3, which puts them on 91. Means we'd have to win 6 to beat them.
Lets see where injuries are, and also what happens if we come off this good run. As I keep saying we've been streaky this season, a bad result somewhere along the way must not be allowed to derail us.

Re: The countdown- Where will we finish?
I'd given up on us catching Sheff U a while ago. It's all about the race for second as far as I can see.
May the bridges I burn light your way
Re: The countdown- Where will we finish?
Relying on them having some sort of yips as promotion/title loom I guess. Or a chance their intensity drops once they are "up" and that's enough for them to drop points. We're not likely to have the same "problem" for as long.
Agree it looks unlikely.

Re: The countdown- Where will we finish?
Rather excitingly, and I dare say presumptuously, I've just worked out that it's possible for us to be promoted on Saturday. Big ifs, but it's mathematically sound.
Here's how that could pan out:
• We win at Southend and Scunny, we're on 82 points (with four games left).
• Fleetwood lose tomorrow night at Oxford and Saturday at Oldham, they're on 69pts (4 games left).
• Bradford, who don't play midweek, lose at - get this - Bury, they're on 69pts (4 games left).
Note also that even if Fleetwood and/or Bradford get a point this week, we'd be so close as to smell it due to a double-figure goal differential.
Obviously I'm well aware that if my aunty were my uncle she'd have bollocks and a moustache, but just to say that there's a chance we might need our party frocks for Scunny. And anyway, the idea has put a smile on my face...
