HT. Not what we wanted.
Cojones must be shown by Sheehan, who should have equalised, and Morley, who gave away the ball for the goal.
Barnsley go 1-0 down at home to Ipswich against the run of play; if that scoreline becomes a result, it might end Barnsley's interest in their final game – home to Peterborough.
A good night for mini-Fergie so far.

Whatever else is happening and falling for their gameplan is monumentally stupid. But whatever else there is a singular truth. We have a lot of the ball. And never do nearly enough with it. And when we do create clear chances we almost always miss.
Our attacking play is our weakness. Has been all season. Since Wembley we’ve barely registered and relied on 1-0’s.
Tonight we need to show some quality and break them down and score some goals. I can’t see us doing it because this team is just light on goals. And when you get to the games that matter, it gets tighter and harder to put these chances away.
Charles most guilty tonight and Sheehan. But with the ball we have loads. And create so very little.

Most of that was from the referee breaking up play and preventing free kicks from being taken quickly.
Accy haven't done enough to warrant that lead, yet here we are.
As for Jensen timewasting. There's an element of that, but he did get a shot to the knackers so its only fair he gets a little bit of time to sort them out.

L Barnsley 0-2 Ipswich. Think the Tractors have scored with their first two efforts on target.

Oh and Morley. Mistake aside. Lads awful. And has been for a while. Legs look like they’ve gone.

Been watching out of the corner of my eye during this work call. The goal was bad, right?

Re: No Pancakes please on Tuesday. Home v Accrington Tues, 25th Apr. 7.45.
It was. But these things happen. Our problem is we cannot score goals. It’s becoming a chronic issue now. Wembley aside we are really really light on goals and it leaves games like this open for teams like Accrington to come here and do this.
We should be putting sides like this to the sword early doors. But don’t create enough and when we do Charles makes a complete mess of it.

So Ipswich winning and if Plymouth join them – they're at home to ten-man Bristol Rovers, so you wouldn't bet much against it – that leaves Sheff Wed 4pts and 19 goals short of automatic. Which means they'll probably be mathematically out of it before the 46th game. And who do they play that day? Derby.
Barnsley v Posh, Weds v Derby. Two final fixtures that gave us hope are now starting to look like the Yokrshire homers will have nothing to play for. FFS

We were the better side and gave away a daft goal - Morley, not his finest half for sure. If we’ve anything about us we should score twice now - Barnsley, Wednesday, derby would.
Refs been shite and broken the game up - nobody booked for them, so they have a free pass to timewaste.
Have to say it’s why I’m fairly relaxed for play offs - we aren’t quite good enough to go up.
We’ve got to go for it now - get Lee on for Morley and Nlundulu can come off as well…whatever he is it isn’t a centre forward.

It feels weird to criticise a 20-goal striker but I know precisely what you mean. For sure, without those goals we'd be a lot worse off. But some of the ones that have got away... well, it's hard to take when, as you say, we're not exactly carving out a dozen clear chances per game.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Tue Apr 25, 2023 8:43 pmWe should be putting sides like this to the sword early doors. Charles has looked really out of sorts tonight actually - he’s hardly been closing down at all.

They had a corner. Traf claimed, came out to start a counter, their big lunk of a centre-back grabbed him - no whistle or card, of course. We rolled it out, passed it around, Morley tied to spread wide to John - awful pass cut out in the centre circle. Accy built down the right, swung in a cross, knockdown header, shot from edge, Traf gets to it but can't stop it going in.
So yeah. Not good.
