Kicking the bucket .E.F.L Cup 3rd round. Away to Arsenal Wed, 25th Sep. 7-45.

I just think we’re a bit too nice. We should be standing on that keepers toes at corners, rattling into challenges. I get they are levels above us but we’re sort of gently accepting it. If we don’t get a shot on target second half I can’t say I won’t be disappointed. Feels like we’ve come get a tour of the nice stadium.

Hard enough without the errors at the back. Referee bottled the penalty. If there is VAR then what is the point?

No replays of anything other than the goals?

No Schon, Jonno or Thommo to do that.

Collins has been clever with respects to winning free kicks but agree there's been little aggression.

Imagine getting a couple and making it interesting. Football gods, I'm looking at you.

That is our problem though. We’ve played relatively well I think. But Evatt and his sides don’t have the edge and gusto that the white hot lot did or the Allardyce sides did. It’s just an edge that we have lacked and I think it’s a bigger problem than most will concede.

I’m guessing there is no VAR?

Sky are pretty pathetic compared to what they could be producing. It's like they're serving up the bare minimum.

Wanna see that offside call again for McAtees effort.

When you ask about McAtee that’s what I think he has - an edge about him. Desire to win. I’m giving him a few more games personally! Possibly under a new manager!

How many more goals like that do we have to concede Ian?

Don’t care who you are playing that goal is absolutely horrific to concede.

We aren’t good enough to play out from the back - attempting to is bollocks and Evatt has to immediately change and accept this season we simply can’t do that.

Why the fk are we doing that against this opposition. Bunch of idiots.

Trying to have Forino as a midfield maestro. Mental. Take away a man in defence and then play stupid passes to give them all the space in the world.

Learn from your mistakes ffs.

Absolutely agree with this. Was reminiscing today about the victories of the past—obviously not expecting one—and it was through shocking them with aggression. Ain’t got that.

Stupid errors at the back, again. Santos: shite weak pass into a daft area; Forino: thick. And just before that, Arfield on his arse—looking more and more hopeless, that lad.

Anyroad. Would love us to score and not concede again. All we can hope for.

[edit: first half of that SUCCESS! Great from McAtee and Collins]

Nice pass from McAtee but Collins did amazingly well to score that - hopefully that kicks his season off.

I think it’s less aggression. More attitude. McAteer, Super John, Stubbs, they were good players but also scrapped like you wouldn’t believe and raised their games against the top sides too.
