Hold on hold on from Wikipedia: "In the opening game of the 2004–05 season at Aberdeen, Burke fainted on the pitch and was out of action for almost the whole season with a mysterious virus." Sounds dodgy.

There were several stories. But frankly it doesn't matter that much. Point was he was impressing enough for it not to be ridiculous for him to be linked with premiership clubs for £2M fees.....

Clearly he hasn't maintained that form in the year since but I guess one way or another we will be only getting potential in any new signings.
Mate - you believe the papers all you want. I'll go off of what I see, and he's a fecking carthorse. "He hasn't maintained that form"?

From what I have seen so far, he has been mainly shite.

No paper article about who never signed him wont make me suddenly think he is the dogs bollox.

That puts him, as a professional footballer on around 60% and never likely to progress.. If you wish to be pedantic and say average is 50% then I will need to come down there and harras you a bit.

If you're right ... & I pray to God you aren't ... that we may be about to double his income tben he's an extremely fortunate boy.
How the fcuk does it put him at 60%?

↑↑↑ within the scope of the four professional divisions he's a consistently lower level 2nd tier player. So I'd say ... if the 2nd to 3rd tier brake point is 50% that makes him, approximately 60% .... a bit above "average".

Given there is NO chance of him suddenly blossoming into a top level player and a somewhat above normal likelyhood that he will stay at or drop below his current level I'm being distinctly generous tbh.

How dare you uncapitalise us... Trotter fires Trotters to promotion glory... there, that's better.
However it's more likey to be: Trotters fire Trotter coz he can't trot never mind gallop.
That's not a leopard!

Now we've got in the stars like him and Dannsy, we can clear out the deadwood like Mark Davies.

Better than 1 in 6 goal record for Millwall as a midfield player. If he can replicate that here it will be useful.

Underwhelming signing but I do think he has more than he showed here last season.

I think it's time to roll out Dean Windass... he could still do a job for us!

He showed here last season that he has less mobility than an asthmatic ant with heavy shopping.

I await my first piece of Dougie-ducation.
