We have, as far as we know three main players.

The Supporters Trust, backed by local businesses/individuals. Do not know the extent of backing nor the motives behind it. They are run currently by an interim self-appointed committee and at least one of those on the committee seems to have waged some sort of internet war with selected other Bolton fans.

Sports Shield, a collection of mystery investors fronted by Dean Holdsworth. Supposedly planning to go down a leveraged buyout route. Which it should be noted is not in itself a bad thing but obviously has a level of risk attached.

Roger Tamraz, an international billionaire with his fingers in many pies, who has a chequered history to say the least. He clearly has resources but whether he'd commit them to Bolton and why, are quite important questions. Also he's 70 which brings into question the longevity of any potential takeover here and what happens if like Eddie he gets to a point where he's had enough.

One thing I know is that we cannot carry on as is, so Eddie/the club is going to have to try and pluck out the best option from there.
You forgot the Koreans.
It was reported that these are the most serious offers on the table. I thought the Koreans were only half heartedly involved at this stage?

Think Nixon also mentioned another bidder from the Isle of Man.

Dennis Rogers, as reported by the BN. Think that and the Koreans are reported as less likely by the BN.

Isn't he the one linked with the alleged fraudster everyone's been getting hot under the collar about.
Whoever takes over, i worry about swapping one set of problems for another.

I guarantee you'll all regret this Tamraz fella in the end.
Trust are backed by some wealthy and unnamed individuals or organisations. Until we know who they are and what motives they have I'm not sure the Trust are anymore solid than anyone else.
I dunno. No actual information about any of them in terms of their bids Without which I couldn't tell you who I'd prefer.

Aye that is what I'm saying. Not sure Eddie can easily unpick it either. Whoever puts most down probably....

When's the tax bill due btw?

Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

It was "due" November last year, wasn't it?

Court date is Monday. Hopefully we've paid it off now or come to some suitable staggered payment agreement. Otherwise I fear we could be in a spot of further bother....

Yeah, yeah. You know what I mean. We had a deadline later this month. What's the date?

The BN article quite clearly stated that voluntary administration was being considered.
So, as a newly constituted internet betting site, PanicfannyPower gives the following odds for a Friday announcement:

VA 4-3
Tamrag 2-1
BWFCST 5-1
Deano-Shield 8-1
Koreans 14-1
Dennis the Menace 100-1

The article says it HAD been considered but is now much less likely. Which kind of makes your odds look a little out surely?

Iles saying some of the prospective buyers aren't happy with the training ground being sold.

One has to question, why at this current time that sale is happening, if buyers aren't on board with it. Something about that doesn't sit right with me. What is the money from the sale of it, going to be used for?

We've got a couple of quid outstanding that needs paying off I'm guessing.

The article says this:
Marc Iles in't BN wrote: Voluntary Administration... had been strongly considered in order to safeguard its immediate future. But progress made in the last few days with prospective buyers has made that option much less likely.
Davies has spoken with two, possibly three, candidates in the last 72 hours with a view to forcing a deal. The timescale remains tight...
So no I don't think the odds are out in the slightest. If the deal hasn't been forced and the timescale is getting tighter, the odds of VA are getting shorter by the hour. (48 of 'em)

Perhaps that wasn't enough? Perhaps it hasn't happened?

With all due respect, we haven't seen any evidence of the actual sale, what the sale price was - and most pertinently under the circumstances - who was actually prepared to meet our asking price, considering that if they don't purchase it now they'll probably get it cheaper. It is us who is under pressure to sell, not others under pressure to buy.

True. Some sort of deal was done, we know that because the club confirmed it. What it was and how much as you say, is unknown.

All we have is Lennon said the money raised from that deal was enough to pay the bills and get through till the end of the season though one might question whether he knows any more than you or I in reality.
