Iles is saying that we won't get 7M and any deal will be staggered. So it won't be loads up front.palekm08 wrote:So lets say Holding does sell for 5 mill plus.
1) Do you think that cash would attract managers more as its evidence the club does have money.
2) Do you think thats the reason potential managers have been stalling or rejecting the club due to insufficient funds to please there needs?
Lastly if we do sell holding for 5 mil or more, i'd be happy rather then annoyed. Under PG and ED we would have sold him for probably 1mil, so credit for KA and DH for valuing him higher. And hopefully we'd have a few million to spend during the transfer window now.
Edit: Deli Alli also sold for 5 mil. So do we really rate him as high as Alli?
I don't think the manager would get the money to spend. It depends what the money is used for. Will they use it to bridge the gap in funding that Anderson's funds were meant to bridge? At the end of the day we can't spend a thing till the accounts are submitted and the FL lift the transfer embargo.
I think potential managers are probably turning us down because we are in embargo, there is talk in the football world of disagreements between owners, and generally we can't be an appealing proposition in general right now.

Possibly Sheridan.
Re: Which muppet can we appoint next?
I don't think anyone has turned us down as yet and there's enough out of work, experienced managers who would kill for a 2 year contract, whatever the background.
Uma mesa para um, faz favor. Obrigado.

That's a grand total of one.BWFC_Insane wrote:Wilder.thebish wrote:how many potential managers have turned us down?

so it might be a bit premature to start speculating about why managers are turning us down, maybe??

Those are the ones we know of. We could speculate as to why Anderson's self-declared timescales for appointing a manager have slipped by on 3 occassions though.thebish wrote:That's a grand total of one.BWFC_Insane wrote:Wilder.thebish wrote:how many potential managers have turned us down?

Re: Which muppet can we appoint next?
hmmm... so - what you're suggesting is that we speculate about un-named managers we don't know have turned us down - and then form speculative theories about why those unknown people have turned us down?
I guess it passes the time!

You spout even more shite than I do - this is complete & utter bollocks and you know it, I've said it before you come across as such a fecking drama queen.BWFC_Insane wrote:Iles is saying that we won't get 7M and any deal will be staggered. Go on then squire - which managers do you know that KA & DH have actually formally approached who have turned us down, we have a few who have said that they haven't been approached & dismissed the speculation, but I can't recall any who have been formally approached & have turned us down - its all bullshit speculation and for some reason you appear to believe everything that Iles & Nixon write.
Didn't Iles say the other day that our new manager is a 'potential coup' for the club....hardly sounds like Stubbs, Wilder or Sheridan
And how do you know whether the manager would get the money to spend or not ?, again just utter drama queen bollocks. Its in KA & DH's interests to get us back up at the 1st attempt so why wouldn't give the new manager as much money as possible....

I suspect we might be talking a League 1 level coup, rather than a Premier League level coup. JSL. Wouldn't want anyone to be disappointed with the overall level of coupness.Peter Thompson wrote:Didn't Iles say the other day that our new manager is a 'potential coup' for the club....hardly sounds like Stubbs, Wilder or Sheridan

Re: Which muppet can we appoint next?
This "coup". The only reference was thusly, in the BN:
Note also, in the very same sentence, that Wanderers are being "as thorough as possible". Doesn't sound like an announcement is imminent - and rightly so if it means we're not doing the managerial-hire equivalent of buying garage flowers on Valentine's Day.
Note that it's not attributed to either KA or DH.Wanderers are being as thorough as possible in their search and, thus far, only one candidate has met directly with both Ken Anderson and Dean Holdsworth – described to The Bolton News yesterday as “a potential coup” to the club.

Sports Shield are living up to exactly what I expected so far, a bunch of Del boys sold a pup by the previous owner and trying to knock some quick cheap fix to the club to get it off their hands ASAP.

That's where your argument is flawed.

Decks being cleared. I'm not sure the headline is entirely helpful. Surely everyone realised this was happening?
Perhaps the communication is poor, but there isn't a good way to tell people they're out of a job.

Re: Which muppet can we appoint next?
I'll start with saying I sympathise with all the staff at the club. I've been through redundancy and have had to make people redundant - it isn't nice on either side, but particularly when you're the one losing your job. That said, I think the headline is a disgrace and the only thing in the article that I find bad is the bit about not thanking folk. In the real world people get told they are being made redundant and then have to continue working until the end of the notice period. Yes, you lack motivation, but you do it because you have to and you don't want to let down other colleagues. So yes, you put a pair of big boy pants on and get on the fcuking bus
The member of staff that thought it was disgraceful, sounds like a an entitled prick that is gutted the gravy train is ending. If they want to point the finger at anyone then the players, coaches and previous management are the ones responsible.
