Is it not the case that Leeds fans think Johnson is shite?

Anyway, happy with Pratley as our first bit of business. Also think the deal presented for Cahill seems fair, and a lot more realistic than ones suggested involving the likes of Bellamy. Having looked on the Sunderland forum, the wisdom there is that Onuoha wants to live in the North West, with fairly mixed reviews about the player generally. I think he's good but not great, but could improve greatly under Coyle, and if he stuck to one position.

Boyata is a great prospect. As as been said, there is no logic whatsoever in City swapping him for Cahill. Content enough with a loan.

For Cahill himself, I think it's a good deal. He's comfortably better than City's other options other than Kompany.

Jesus, City fans aren't happy with this at all!

http://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/viewt ... 1&t=222041" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

They REALLY don't want Cahill- although if there reasons don't make much sense; he's not athletic enough, he's not a leader, he's not technically good enough and he's too much like Richard Dunne...

They must have got Knight and Cahill mixed up again...easy mistake to make.

Now thyen...young Nedem (can't be sure of his second name)

Is he coming as back up centre back or first choice right back

Only asking cos Wheater is going to wonder wtf he'd done wrong if he's still behind Knight come August

This Pratley lad.

Is he quick? A box-to-boxer?

Basically, I know little about him. I watched the Swansea play off game, but he was on the bench for the majority. But they looked like a team playing (or at least we try) a system similar to ours. I reckon theres a couple we could have gone for.

He's a bit like Yaya Toure (not in ability terms) in that essentially he was considered a holding defensive midfield player but has been recently played in a more attacking role to great effect. Athletic and relatively quick with decent technique. However, some games he seems to have shockers, as I guess all players do. All this is at championship level.

Anyways as an aside Megson had him as a target a couple of years back (and no I'm not confusing him with that Bodde chap)!

Wouldn't surprise me one bit to be honest. As good as Moo is at breaking up play etc.. he just doesn't have the basics of footwork and passing a simple ball and i think Coyle wants a team where everybody is comfortable on the ball. If we get Holden back for the start of the season i don't think we will miss Moo as much because Holden has shown this season he can get a tackle in and play the ball.

Moo and Knight terrify me every time they have the ball at there feet and are under pressure. I can imagine OC feels the same.

We won't sell muamba this summer, our midfield is so injury prone as it is, Coyle ain't gunna start selling his best defensive midfielder. I think we need muamba, not great at passing and does scare the sh*t of you at times but is so good at breaking up play, giving our wingers and holden the freedom to go forward, just dont let Muamba shoot couldnt hit a barn door!!!!!!

It's based on this "article" by someone called "Football Spy" at the "Daily Mirror"

So it's obviously cast in stone.....

It is suspected by the press that we have signed him but you won't hear anything official until after Swansea's play off final on Monday and probably you'll have to wait for the "official" proper announcement till the 1st July when he can actually sign a proper contract with us.

That is of course IF it happens. Nothing is done until its "done". But this seems more likely than most.

I'm sure OC is well aware of Muamba's weaknesses in passing and shooting. I'm sure also he'll work on this off-season. Why get rid of a potentially good defensive midfielder for somebody who might not turn out as good?

the Moo told us last season that during the summer holidays he was going to work hard and learn how to shoot! 8)
