Re: Bottom 5 fixtures
I don't think many will be surprised by that - in fact there were a few rumours doing the rounds on another BWFC forum a few weeks ago, that one or two apparently ITK (I will repeat apparently !), had been told by a few of the players that the team are actually shocked by his lack or tactical awareness & organisation.Bruce Rioja wrote:Ah reet
Well, I agree that Coyle's clueless, but I'm quite prepared to defend Gartside.
By the way, an old friend of mine is the reserve keeper for a local rival (and we'll leave it at that). For the past few years he's got to see every Premier League manager operate at particularly close quarters. He says that he's never seen or heard anyone as utterly clueless as Coyle.
(Still think we'll stay up though)
Regarding staying up - I hope so I really do, but not surprisingly being a doom monger I just can't see us beating WBA, and I think that QPR will most likely beat Stoke and that may be it.

the goalkeepers "quitting" en masse about five minutes after he rocked up were *big siren noises*
and something i heard him say in a post match interview while at burnley also frightened me but i forget what it were , and i were more arsed about bolton at the time.

It's a question of apostrophes, Bruce. In your reconstruction move the left apostrophe four places to the right and the right apostrophe two places to the left, change the initial 't' to a capital and you'll have a hanging clause.I hope this helps...Bruce Rioja wrote:Peter Thompson wrote:si2008 wrote:thats what wereI like it - if / when we go down that should be the headline on all the forums !
What does 'thats what were' mean?

Re: Bottom 5 fixtures
Just thinking about the Blackburn Wigan game. Should we be hoping for a Blackburn win? In that case we'd have two chances for other teams to fail should we win. Wigan at home to Wolves and QPR away at City. We're down if we don't win but still will be down if QPR nick a point against City however unlikely it may be. I think my logic is right here....

Re: Bottom 5 fixtures
Providing Blackburn then lose at Stamford Bridge next Sunday, yes.
Should we beat Stoke next week, it would leave Wigan needing a result at Wolves to stay up.

Re: Bottom 5 fixtures
QPR aren't any good on the road and there's no chance City will screw this up.
I know I'm painting a targt on my back for Fate but the lads at the Etihad are playing for the trophy. The difficult games are past them.
Also in City's favour is that QPR may think they can stay up without needing a point and that, could be what the whole thing ends up turning on.

We should all be hoping for a Blackburn win tomorrow so it really does drag Wigan back in it. If Wigan get a point, they're safe.

Let's face it we've felt like a side going down for most of the season.....Gail Platz wrote:No our fate was sealed today when we bottled it and QPR scored a last minute winner.newboy wrote:I think there's a lot of straw clutching going on a lot of ifs buts and maybes bottom line is we have to get 3 points against Stoke at thw Britannia aint gonna happen our fate was sealed when Coyle wasn't sacked at Christmas.

We can still stay up. Until it's fact that we're going down I'll continue to believe that we can do it. COYWM

Re: Bottom 5 fixtures
It won't be because of the West Brom result that we go down it'll be because of our managers ineptitude and his tactical nativity all season and his mind numbing baffling substitutions .Which is almost certain to lose us the game at Stoke if we get ourselves into a winning position. If we do manage to stay up may I suggest he goes on a tactical awareness course (must have been one shit course him and AVB were on)

Can I suggest that 'clueless' goes back north of the border and manages a local U15 side....newboy wrote:It won't be because of the West Brom result that we go down it'll be because of our managers ineptitude and his tactical nativity all season and his mind numbing baffling substitutions .Which is almost certain to lose us the game at Stoke if we get ourselves into a winning position. If we do manage to stay up may I suggest he goes on a tactical awareness course (must have been one shit course him and AVB were on)
