He won't be the only one then tw.

To be fair to Coyle he can't be accused of not using Wilshire or Sturridge. So Kakuta mustn't have shown anything in Euxton.
I can't help thinking that he'd have done alright, and appeared a little more, if we'd figured out that 451 was the way to go a little sooner...

Nixon's just copying stuff that was on Goal.com yesterday morning....
Goal.com ages ago! wrote:Porto attacker Juan Iturbe is keen to leave the club on loan until the end of the season, the player's agent has revealed.

The 18-year-old has been out of favour at the Estadio do Dragao, making just five appearances since completing a £3.3 million deal from Cerro Porteno in the summer.

Iturbe's situation has reportedly caught the eye of Bolton Wanderers and Racing Club, and the Argentine's father has indicated that a loan exit is a possibility.

"My son has not been playing regularly at Porto," Juan Del Carmen told Radio Fox Sports Del Plata. "We know of Racing's interest from the papers and we are looking for a solution, a loan spell so that he can play.

"I would like to see my son play in Argentina and I hope the transfer [to Racing] goes through. My son is a fan of Racing."

Meanwhile, Iturbe's agent, Augusto Paraja, told Antena 1 that he receives 'new offers every day', but stressed that it is necessary to talk to Porto before deciding on the course of action.

am I being thick? (probably) - why does getting a deal done depend on them not progressing in the competition?

They did, and, as they've got Ghana still to play, they're probably coming home early too.

Who knows? He wouldn't get an automatic work permit so would have to appeal. I imagine the issue is that in order to get through the paperwork, medical, etc to get him a work permit would mean him physically being in the country to do some of that. I believe Ream has had to fly back to America and re-enter the UK next week on his work permit. Given he's in a tournament with less than a week to go its probably a logistical challenge at best.

But thats guesswork.

As ever we're leaving it so late that probably its now an impossibility!

sounds fair enough..

but if it all depends on his team getting knocked out of the AfNCup - how is that in our control?? how could we get them knocked out quicker??

you can blame coyle for some stuff - but not that, surely?

I'm not blaming him for that, or anything in fact.

I don't think the speed we do transfers is down to Coyle. More down to the general organisation we seem to have at the club.

I suspect Bangoura was an afterthought, if we were serious we'd have had to sort it before ANC!

Are you now accusing us of general organisation??? surely that's a good thing??

Porto want him to stay in Europe though so I'd hope/think that his club have more of a say about where he goes?
Pfffft.

Watching Ivory coast v Burkina faso. Jonathan Pitriopa looks a handful.
Strikes me as a Coyle type signing, young quick good on the ball. Playing for Rennes so you'd think gettable.
As long as the wind blows, fortunes can change.
