Wouldn't it be funny if Friday night comes and goes with no announcement whatsoever...

I'm giving that evens as well.
And while we're at it, I don't think I recall anything from or about Trevor Birch since the announcement that he was to address the meeting for a Supporters Trust, which he didn't, even though he was announced on the agenda. Since then zip. I would have thought any announcement about an announcement would have come from him. And as the horse is shtum I shall amend those odds to 4-5 on

This is what, the 3rd or 4th time he's said that so far?
I don't know, I haven't paid that close attention to it. :conf:
I have little doubt that Neil Lennon has no more a clue as to what's going on than we do. I sort of get that he feels the need to come across like having a finger somewhere in the vicinity of a pulse, but he'd really be better off keeping schtum for me.

Exactly what I think. It's the local rag - that is all. It has no more a say in the future of BWFC than my Mum has. (My Mum bakes better pies than are available at the Bok though ;) )

My own bit of conjecture is based on the timescales, and I believe no one will take over and we will go into admin. The trust will then restructure and run us as a lower league club because we will no longer be attractive to investors.
This. Folk inside the club don't know what is going on entirely. Short of tapping Eddie's phone all Iles or anyone else can go off is what their club sources tell them. Their club sources may or may not be accurate because clearly lots of games are taking place and lots of rumour and counter rumour.

People expect miracles from the local paper in my view. I think Iles does a decent job in what clearly have been exceptional circumstances.
Yeah, but you've been trumpeting the virtue of your 'sauces' for weeks!

ITK, breaking news, YHIHF, etc etc.......

Miguel Veloso is close to becoming the new owner and chairman. Only sticking point on the deal is he wants to ride through the doors of the Macron on a shire horse that is for some reason, wearing a tiara.

Eddie is trying to clear this with health and safety but the clock is ticking....

Knowing our luck, the Supporters Trust's mysterious backer will be Gary Megson. Who will then reveal himself Hooded-Claw-style. The bastard.

Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

If I weren't so cynical about the whole thing, I'd suggest that the BBC and Sky going with it means they have some solid info. However...

If Sky knew anything significant they'd have said who the preferred bidder with exclusivity period was. They are just copying what has been said elsewhere. And probably their source was Neil Lennon in his press conference.

I'm off now to search the real tinterweb, searching for real breaking news. I'll be back if I can find some. (Strange that the bush is keeping his head down: No breaking news is good breaking news! Hmmmm think not).

NB it's my phone that turns him into a bush, not me.

According to the BN, Sport Shield have had their offer accepted and it'll be completed in a few days. I'm glad it's going through but I was optimistic about the Tamraz deal.
