You mean the Pratley who's signing for Newcastle..?mullayo wrote:Got to see Pratley today in the Champ playoffs. He's a bit laconic but he can play.
Will need to lift his workrate about 100 percent but he passes and moves (albeit strolling) and can dribble decently. He replaced the playmaker Dobbie so maybe the ambling into position late was part of the positional requirements???
Good height, but could do with 10kg in muscle. He looks like an anorexic Muamba with decent skills and more awareness.

Don't know about that didn't they just sign French midfielder Yohann Cabaye from French champions Lille, same role as Pratley except probably better.
Anyway, someone ITK on this very site said it was a done deal for us!
We'll know as soon as he sobers up I suppose.

The Mancunia News reckons that Emmanuel Adebayor, Craig Bellamy, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Wayne Bridge, Patrick Vieira, Jo, Roque Santa Cruz, Nedum Onuoha and Felipe Caicedo are all expected to leave over the summer.
Any we'd like/could afford? I'd have a go for that Felipe Caicedo, missen.

Adebayor - no chanceBruce Rioja wrote:The Mancunia News reckons that Emmanuel Adebayor, Craig Bellamy, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Wayne Bridge, Patrick Vieira, Jo, Roque Santa Cruz, Nedum Onuoha and Felipe Caicedo are all expected to leave over the summer.

SWP - yes with the right package
Bellamy - dont think he'd fit in
Bridge - yes
Viera - Yes & thrice yes
Jo - No
Santa Cruz - no gracias
Onuoha - yes please
Caicedo - yes please
So really, Caicedo & Onuoha would be great, i'd have bridge and swp too but SWP may be a little bit too billy big bollocks to want to join us, and Bridge might want to stay down south to keep tapping that Frankie from The Saturdays and lets face it who can blame him.

It's likely, but I'd still love that year to be at the Reebok.ohjimmyjimmy wrote:Oh and Viera i expect will get something more glamorous than Bolton for a year.

Viera's legs aren't up to 4-4-2.
And Bridge is on about £80k/pw isn't he?
The Onouha/Boyota/Cahill deal looks the most tempting. Would take Adebayor, but theres more chance of Elmander re-signing for us.

Caceido never did a great deal with Hull. Hows he been getting on in wherever it is in Europe this year?

Caicedo's been scoring bags full for a middling Spanish side - Levante, I think. Speaking of Spain, last I heard Adebayor will be bought for Mourinho (while the board will no doubt also buy somebody shinier to please themselves). Vieira's lost the power he once used to dominate games; Bridge seems to have lost all ability; SWP is intriguing but presumably too well remunerated. Onouha is well regarded and I'd quite like to get a promising centre-back who might retain or increase his value, something that none of the other names there will do.

Onouha would be the best one...reasonably experienced, can't fill the team with kids.

I swear he had about 5 good games for Saints when he was about 12, scored one important goal for Chelsea, and his built an entire career of bench warming on monumental wages on that. His career is 'first flagship signing for money bags new owners who want to blow cash but cant actually attract anyone good.

Re: TKIZ's impossibly brilliant all new Transfer Rumours thr
For about a season under Mourinho, Bridge was brilliant, equally capable of playing left back or left wing or even central midfield.
But that's a long time ago, and he has indeed benchwarmed on bonuses ever since.
Hence "lost".

Anyway, I'm sure I read on KUMB that he'd been shit for them this year.
Mind, he wasn't from their glorious academy, so he never really stood a chance.
