I think East Lower was just 'spit balling' and seeing what sticks. Nothing in any of the papers.

Sell Taylor, buy Krancjar - doubt there'd be too much difference in terms of price, and we'd be getting a vastly superior player who can play in any position in the midfield, and scores goals.

Easy this manager lark
He'd have to score goals.. You know.. To replace the ones that Taylor gets... Often
Been a while since his last......and Krancjar would set up more than big Matt does/did.

Miles better all round - younger too.

But how's he going to get in the team in front of Petrov? :conf:
I'd play him in the centre, personally, instead of Holden. Let Fabrice do the tackling and leave Krancjar to play football

Holden is playing really well. He does a lot of things Kranjcar wouldn't.

He certainly is - I just think Krancjar would be a better attacking midfielder and all round handsome guy

As much as I get what you're saying Caps, thats harsh on Holden.

I'd say he's holding things together more than Muamba this season who has looked poor in quite a few games.

Aye, hats off to Holden. I thought at the start of the season he was the weak link. He's genuinely impressed me not only by his contributions, but by his continual improvement. Though Moo started the saeson well, he'sfaded in the last couple of games.

If Money is the only motivation Elmander has and theres someone out there in thses tough times willing to punt on him, I guess you are right.
To be honest, if true and BWFC really wanted to keep Mandy He'd be offered about the same, smacks as though his first two seasons have made uncle Eddie and Garty a bit cautious were Elmander is concearned and who could blame them? The trouble is if he leaves on a free he will go down in history as the biggest waste of money ever in Boltons entire history, this is the biggest deliema Coyle and co will have to face the other "free agents" are "free" to leave they can catch a taxi with Megson.

I hear you Hoboh, but I think that maybe a large percentage of the Footballers in the league are motivated by the almighty Pound.

Elliot's a harsh one to throw in there. That first Reebok season could've been massively different with a fit Robbie Elliot

We'll just have to wait and see what Elmo's agent thinks he's worth. That unfortunately will decide this story

The big money signings Todd made weren't "shite", but neither were they his best acquisitions.

But I would be happy to defend Todd's transfer record by mentioning Gudjohnsen, Jensen, Jaaskelainen and Frandsen. And, had we not signed Pollock, we wouldn't have walked Division Two in 1997. We might have won it, but not like we did.

And we made quite a bit of profit on the likes of Blake and Gunnlaugsson.

there are rumbly noises about Spurs being interested in Cahill in January..

and now Inter Milan are sniffing around...
INTER MILAN are lining up a big-money bid for Bolton's star defender Gary Cahill, according to reports in Italy.

Inter boss Rafa Benitez was reportedly interested in the 24-year-old while in charge at Liverpool and the Spaniard is ready to test Bolton's resolve to keep hold of him with a £10m offer.

But it is thought that such a bid would fall around £5m short of Bolton's valuation of Cahill, who won his first England cap in the Three Lions' 4-0 victory over Bulgaria at Wembley last month.

Inter, treble winners last season, are currently third in Serie A and Benitez has made no secret of his desire to strengthen the squad during January.

But sources in Italy have revealed that Inter have allocated a maximum of £10m to strengthen their defence.

Risible. £17.5m minimum release clause. Nothing to see.
