The on-line thingy is about as user friendly as a Gary Megson defensive display.
I got there, but it took some fecking finding.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

See I gave up and think it's an extra £20-£30 to do with the club shop. Couldn't find online DD

Thats because it doesn't exist. You print a form off, fill it in then give it to the ticket office. That counts as "online" apparently and gets you the online price.hisroyalgingerness wrote:See I gave up and think it's an extra £20-£30 to do with the club shop. Couldn't find online DD

That's utter, utter, bullshit.
I shall be letting the club know this.

Re: Season ticket 2012 thread
Indeed. It wasn't exactly clear. I had to ring the ticket office to confirm what I was meant to do. Apparently they had a proper online form initially (submitted completely online) but it didn't work so they replaced it with a pdf for print out.
Apparently the distinction between on and off line was "online is where you fill it in and post/drop it off" "offline is when you ring us up to do it over the phone or pitch up directly at Bolton central".
I suppose in real terms in makes no difference as the club encourage "online" to reduce queues and the number of staff needed on the phones etc. So the print out has the same effect. And it was free post, so all in all not a hassle. It just wasn't clear!

One imagines that the DD documents require a genuine signature.BWFC_Insane wrote:Thats because it doesn't exist. You print a form off, fill it in then give it to the ticket office. Strongly suspect that's the case. And in fairness, if there was only the possibility of doing an offline DD I would still have done this. I suppose I'm irked at the possibility I've overpaid £20-£30 whatever it is. Small beans, but principles.

Ring em up and ask them to change you to the online price.hisroyalgingerness wrote:Strongly suspect that's the case. If they won't say you'll not bother with a ST then...(they've not taken any £ yet so easy enough to block a DD with your bank)
I'm 99% sure they won't risk losing a sale over the sake of £20-30 especially if you explain you couldn't find the online method!
Re: Season ticket 2012 thread
I applied online for the DD scheme the first day tickets went up but still not heard anything from them. It clearly said once i have finished they would be in contact soon.

No gripe, just a reduction in the cost to the online price

Re: Season ticket 2012 thread
Yes but it's not quite as simple as that is it?! You enter into a legally binding credit agreement with a third party. If it was as simple as you suggest then everyone would've simpy stopped paying three games into Megson's tenure.BWFC_Insane wrote: If they won't say you'll not bother with a ST then...(they've not taken any £ yet so easy enough to block a DD with your bank)

Re: Season ticket 2012 thread
We didn't have direct debit then. And you are right but can you see the club taking someone to court in the circumstances described above for HRG? Can't see it myself would be awful publicity. Especially over 20 quid or so!
