Re: Ricardo Gardner
I'm sure this can't be right - because we were told by a reliable source not that that there was simply a rumour or a chance of him moving to West Ham - but that he had actually signed for them. Have we bought him back?

Re: Ricardo Gardner
Perhaps we've swapped him for Sturridge, who's already signed. Do keep up.thebish wrote:I'm sure this can't be right - because we were told by a reliable source not that that there was simply a rumour or a chance of him moving to West Ham - but that he had actually signed for them. Re: Ricardo Gardner
Todays BN says Ricky has taken a year contract on reduced term because he doesn't want to uproot from Bolton. Good on you Ricky. Finish it here where you belong. Also reckons Al Habi is cert for Wigan at 4m.

Re: Ricardo Gardner
Can't imagine us giving him a year's contract if that was the case. Kumb? Just spiteful.seanworth wrote:According to the Kumb Ricardo failed his medical.

Re: Ricardo Gardner
I don't think you can fail a west ham medical.
Re: Ricardo Gardner
it's possible... they would naturally be more cautious than we are - we have known him for over a decade and so are aware of his medical history (which is not inconsiderable!) - we know his limits and his strengths... also - we're offering him less money than they would have (allegedly).TANGODANCER wrote:Can't imagine us giving him a year's contract if that was the case. on the other hand - they did gamble with Demba Ba - who had just failed a medical at Stoke - and that paid off...
Re: Ricardo Gardner
Didn't West Ham get Demba Ba after he failed a medical at Stoke?

Re: Ricardo Gardner
Man with dodgy knee fails medical....hardly a surprise ! Then again, BFS would have know all about his injury issues beforehand so im guessing it would have been a waste of time to have him down there doing a full-on medical if both parties knew he'd probably fail it anyway.
Re: Ricardo Gardner
I reckon West Ham are just lying, to cover up the fact that he just rejected them.
Re: Ricardo Gardner
His agent has denied that he failed a medical and decided that he wanted to stay at Bolton and in the PL. He was also offered deals at Norich and in the MLS. Glad he decided to stay, and also glad he had some options. He's been a great player at Bolton for many years and has had to endure many injuries over the years.
Even some of the West Ham fans seemed puzzled that he could fail a medical. Seems it's never happened there before.
