Villa boards in meltdown...

Apparently they can't think of a worse appointment.

I can help 'em there.

According to this Villa forum there's some rumours on twitter that Moyes is a shoe-in for the job and he's already resigned, straws, clutching at spring to mind

Coyle will just go straight to the top of the charts for the Everton job in that scenario.

What we really need right now is McLeish to take the job.

I can't see him taking on Everton after the schpiel he gave when resigning at Fulham. Unless Kenwright has found a few million stuffed down the back of the Gwladys Street.

For those concerned earlier, I'm not getting a taxi to Villa Park tomorrow. Pool car at 7am!

Haha, the fans stop McLaren getting the job...if they get McLeish it would be ace. Thought he'd be popular Villa way though....

I'd just like McLeish to be a Premier League manager again soon. Anywhere but us please.

I just had a thought, is the Rangers job vacant at the moment?

And now Birmingham want Steve Cotterill!

Honestly, what's going on? Is this some sort of contest between Villa and Birmingham to sack a shit manager and replace him with a shitter manager?

Good News!

'It is understood Villa were discouraged by the level of compensation they would have to pay Wanderers, although Coyle never expressed any interest in the vacant position as he looks to build on the encouraging progress he has made in his first 18 months in charge at the Reebok.'

Even sounds believable that does. Haven't been too worried about Coyle leaving just yet.

They've missed out on their best option I reckon.

McLaren would have been fine for them. Another case of careful what you wish for.

They seem to mostly want Benitez.

I can't for the life of me think why, his teams were awful at Liverpool.
