They will go 4-4-2 and attack the bollocks off us.
We either match that with a better 4-4-2 (LOL), or we play 4-5-1 and hope we can retain the ball with a packed midfield.
We all know it'll be the same 4-4-2 though, perhaps with N'Gog in for Klasnic, stupidly.

Re: Wanderers Vs Man U
well - according to the new boys it all looks marvellous! Boyata is going to stop Rooney - and N'gog fancies himself to score a goal...
Nice to have some positivity in the camp - and they both appear to believe they will be playing at some point in the game...

Re: Wanderers Vs Man U
With Boyata being a defender that would mean he'd be starting!
Like someone else said, we didn't spend £4M on Ngog for him to sit on the bench. Hopefully Kakuta is good enough for us to give him more gametime than Rodrigo got, Boyata too for that matter.
But also, I remember someone saying that Wheater must be unhappy with not getting to play much recently. On that front I'd have thought that OC said to him at the time he signed him that he'd be in the squad, competition for places etc etc, so of course he'll be disappointed but it's up to him to work until he's included in the first XI. We have a pretty strong squad at the moment, and part of that is down to having players like Wheater in it. Should we have lesser players on the bench?

Re: Wanderers Vs Man U
Hello again.
Happy with the new faces. Ngog could be a very good signing offering the potential of goals; hopefully his pace might also push defences deeper and give our creative department mote room to play in.
Kakuta's less of an air-punching capture but is a low-risk loan who could add trickery and pace from the bench, while also keeping dialogue open with AVB (or simply Chelsea, if he gets sacked) for a possible return of Sturridge in January - note that we can extend the loan if we like but no team can borrow two players concurrently from the same PL club, so if Studger became available we could send Kakuta back.
And of course there's still Tuncay to fit in yet, not easy with Klasnic goal-a-gaming. Could we really be nearing the time when squad strength means even the skipper isn't an automatic choice?
Boyata adds depth at the back, with much promise. Admittedly it's easier for Owen's Finishing School to accommodate midfielders or strikers rather than defenders, whose punishment for youthful mishap tends towards the more notable, but I'm glad to hear Citeh fans think he's too good for us. Let's see how he does, and see how many players are blocking his path to their first team by this time next year.
Happy with the retention of Gary Cahill. I may have said this before but I love the way Cahill plays the game – adventurous with the ball, determined without it – and I think he'll be a big loss to our club when he does go. Kudos to the club for refusing Arsenal's offer (with the caveat that we shouldn't burn bridges considering the potential loanees there); it seems that turning down Spurs' offer means they really were determined to sell only at the price nominated. Can't be a bad message to send out, considering our business model must be at least partly (if not mostly) built around developing talented youngsters for sale at a profit.
So, happy with developments since the last league game and should be really looking forward to the next one. But not happy with playing United. Know it's got to happen twice a season, but I never have liked it. Too tense. Too much gut and not enough brain. May have to hide. It's the only game I don't look forward to.

I hope that every chance Gary had he watched Rooney play and played man marker to him in the training games to get some practise before the weekend!

Rooney plays a lot deeper these days so Muamba will have him covered.

Re: Wanderers Vs Man U
Any predictions as to whether it'll be a decent game, regardless of the score?
I'd have thought we'd turn up to this one what with it being a big local rival and lots of new arrivals in the squad. I'm hoping I'm not wrong. Foolishly optimistic?

Be great for the first 15mins, but then sadly I predict we'll get a tonking.
We'll beat Arsenal and Chelsea though, so it's not all bad.

You need to stop smoking on a school night.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

I dreamt last night that we beat them in the 96th minute. However, that it was the guy from my local corner shop who scored the winner, and that I was watching the game whilst riding a donkey along the beach (pipe down Freud) makes me hesitate heading out to the bookies.
