This the main talk in the pub last night. As per, the Arsenal fans were along the lines of "Need to win this" while the pessimists were bemoaning the fact that their season would effectively be over if they don't tonk us. I've never seen such negativity in past seasons and if this has transferred to the teamI can only think that this will be a win for us. Most of last season they were saying Rosicky was crap. now he's becoming a hero, though F knows why. If OC starts Holden and we employ shock troop methods we could be two up before half time. Well, I'm very optimistic about this game. 8)
Aye - I'm hearing similar misery from Gooners I know.

Whilst a win is far from nailed on, we certainly have a chance in this one. We'll know more when we see the lineup/formation but there's no doubt we need to come out the blocks hard and fast. Movement off the ball and harrying when not in possession is essential. Scoring the first goal will really put the pressure on Arsenal and it's no secret we get much better results when we do.

i'd be more confident if we scored the first goal in the 93rd minute than in the 3rd minute...

I see Coyle has been up to his usual brown nosing of the opposition manager!

Had a quick read through sky sports' preview of the match, although there was not much about bolton on there, I did however pick up on some very lazy journalism.
Possible starting XI:
Bolton: Jaaskelainen, Boyata, Knight, Cahill, Robinson, Pratley, Reo-Coker, Muamba, Petrov, Davies, Klasnic
I know it's only "possible" starting 11 but some how i don't think there's even a slight possibility that klasnic will be playing tomorrow

With no right winger either.

"TBF" Pratley has come on there a time or two. But it'd still be a leap from in-game tweak to starting him out there.

In game tweaking? More like in game clod on everybody vaguely attacking and let them 'express' themselves.

Eagles, Tancay, N'gog and Kakuta might be a tad unhappy with that.

Went Villa on Tuesday night. We were brilliant. Has to be the same formation tomorrow
Jussi

Steinsson - Cahill - Wheater - Gardner (if fit)

Eagles - NRC - Pratley - Muamba - Petrov

N'Gog

I wouldn't risk Holden. It isn't worth it. And I'd play a 70% fit Gardner over a 100% fit stump in Robinson. It was an absolute delight to watch Ricky at lb on Tuesday.

It was good to see him back, hopefully he can get more playing time now. But I think he's the same as holden, just come back from injury so wouldn't risk a second game in a week just yet. And I can see Coyle starting SKD over N'Gog, boyata ahead of steinsson just because it's what coyle will do. As for wheater/knight, it's anybody's guess really!

Mr Clattenburg will also be playing for the Arse tomorrow.

You can tell Mike Riley is head of referees these days, can't you?

I bet his special adviser is Barry bastarding Knight.

I thought Clattenburg had had that hair treatment?

Clattenburg has never been bald. Thin on top, but never even nearly bald. Shit at refereeing however...

Absolutely no point playing SKD if that's the case. No point whatsoever. He'll get a booking the first time he completes a pass

Think I am more interested in the line up and formation for todays game than the actual game. Hope I don't end up disappointed.

Indeed. If Owen's learned from the Villa game, there is hope anew regardless of the result.

If its same old same old, then I fear a long hard season.

Based on some of his quotes the past few days, I would be surprised if we went 4-5-1, as far as benching a player or two that remains to be seen. I have more optimism on that front.
