Perhaps this will be a better year....

Credit where it's due, Coyle at long last has picked a team that gives us a chance...

Only taken him 25 games like...But still credit for getting it right tonight. Glimmer. Just a glimmer of hope...if only our home form wasn't so mince.

We've actually massively improved our away form from last season!

nearly had a heart attack during that Baines free kick in the last minute.

Very good tonight I thought. Deserved it. Still shaky on set pieces mind.

Ngog we trust

I broke the forum, my congratulating the 451 post hasn't appeared

Phew

We still looked dodgy off crosses/set pieces, but were due some luck after that goal and everything else this season

451 is right away from home and against the elite, why has it taken us so long to revisit it?

Plus points - Cahill was superb (our one), Bogdan was fine apart from the fluke, Muamba/NRC axis continues to grow, Eagles and Petrov working very hard and Ngog second half looked like he had a point to prove.

Negatives - Ricketts wasteful in possession last 10 minutes, not defending a set piece first 45, that short corner routine with Davies, not killing the game off (though big ask I know)

We were brilliant tonight, should have scored a few more though.

Bogdan was great, even if mothernature doesn't like him...

They had a couple of other chances but yeah we seemed to be controlling a lot more of the play in midfield (wonder why??)

Feckin brilliant. Maybe Coyle has been to tactics school for the past week, is starting to get it right.

Thought I detected the start of a revival against Wolves - we were good enough for a win there.

Time for a beer!

Pretty good performance all round except Bogdan, he's really not very good.

We were the much better side and when their goal went in I thought "This just sums up our luck this season". Great spirit from the lads to come back and get a win after that, we were all over them and fully deserved the win.

Absolutely gutted I didn't go to this one now, only the 3rd game I've missed all season after QPR and Fulham and I've missed two bloody brilliant wins!

I have never been so happy to be wrong in my life! We even overcame some adversity, fell behind to a demoralizing goal and came back to win where we never win!

4-5-fcuking 1 at last!!!!

Worked an absolute treat. I'd play it every week. Makes our wide players and Mavies so much more effective, and less pressure on Reo-Coker and Muamba to create. Thought N'gog was superb 2nd half.

Cahill - What a way to send off for Bolton (If he does). Great performance capped off with the winning goal.

Fair do's to Wotsit. He didn't let him affect him after the freak goal.

Overall a good performance in difficult conditions. We looked much better defensively playing 4-5-1 and apart from the odd chance didn't give much away - who'd of thunk it!

Perhaps a turning point for Ngog who looked much sharper and worked his teds off.

We've played it before, but its not come off like tonight, we were a much better team and set up so much better for an away match against the most offensive everton line up for about 40 years

That bounce was ridiculous though. He was fine.
