I'm sure I saw you in K2.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

This is a bit like an awkward silence on a first date as we wait for something to happen.
I wish I could bring some news your way from Wanderers.
The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.
Re: Deadline Day
There's still enough inefficiency in football transfers for cheap players to be good players. More so in the Premier League, but also true of any league in England, transfer fees and wages can almost be decided by the media, as clubs are then pressured into signing players or paying big wages for no apparent reason.BWFC_Insane wrote:There is quite a strong correlation between wage bill, transfer spending and league position. It was studied.plymouth wanderer wrote:Fvcking hell you don't half talk shitBWFC_Insane wrote:It is all a bit shit isn't it?Lost Leopard Spot wrote:I've lived through some meh ones, and one or two good ones, but I have never been so disheartened at a transfer window closing day as I have been at this one.
But then we've no money to spend at all. Frankly the next few years do not look very appealing as a Bolton fan. Cheaper players, replacing cheaper players. Income going down.
I'm not entirely sure what there is to look forward to?
Would love to have seen Palace's wage bill fees paid etc and they went up probably. And cheaper doesn't necessarily mean a shitter player
But that aside, of course there are examples of clubs doing well on the cheap. But how many examples are there of premiership clubs going down struggling for a few seasons then going back up without an influx of cash from new investors?
I'm struggling to think of many. I just fear that we're on the slide now. Hope not.

I thought you were writing a transfer post to the tune of Lucille by Kenny Rogers, just to cheer us up.Lost Leopard Spot wrote:I've lived through some meh ones, and one or two good ones, but I have never been so disheartened at a transfer window closing day as I have been at this one.

I'll think about it, although TD has more experience at writing than me...

No one wants Knight so he's staying.
A right/left back will be brought in and Baptiste will be partnering Knight.
My prediction for today.
It begins.
Re: Deadline Day
Shane Long off to Hull apparently. Cracking player.
Re: Deadline Day
Aye, but he's not likely to drop down a division for us. That's not meant as a criticism, ChrisChrisC wrote:Shane Long off to Hull apparently. Cracking player.

Can I just swear now... Can I?
I have got to the point where I realise I have no influence but can be bothered what is happening, and therefore I'm going to do an ostrich and bury my head. Nighty night boys and girls.
