True that. The only Lennon match day squad he was in was the FA Cup v Wigan... Unused substitute. Maybe he warmed up badly.LeverEnd wrote:Iles says he's the one looking to give notice and leave. He's never had a single minute to prove himself under Lennon, whilst still playing internationally. And while we're bottom.thebish wrote:aye... Medo... wtf is happening there???

I was a bit surprised to see Moxey described as one of the club's biggest earners, considering how recently he joined us

(Tiny cheer from the back of the classroom)

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

The article also says -
"Wanderers will confirm today they have paid a percentage of the playing staff’s December wage, which will be matched by the PFA. It is believed the agreement has been made possible because of the sale of offices attached to the Macron Stadium, and it should ensure players cannot walk away from their contract for free when the transfer window reopens on Friday."
Which is BWFCI's concern - that we sell off assets to keep the ship afloat. But, at some point, the assets are all gone, yet the outgoings & debts remain.

A fair enough income though given that we were supposedly retrench in at that time. This was the era of financial woe which saw us signing players at salaries with which other clubs couldn't compete. I remember Derby's chairman complaining at our spending power when we signed Baptiste.boltonboris wrote:£7k per week apparently, so I'd be surprised if he is.. Nixon claims that we have brought in former Bury chairman Terry Robinson to help sell players.
So we are paying another executive to help raise money. Perhaps it is just me.........

Presumably not pissed off enough to take a pay cut by pissing off elsewhere. It's his right to see out the contract he was given by BWFC, but he does presumably have the option of cutting our losses.thebish wrote:Medo must be pissed off that they've paid him, then!

Who's to say he's been paid? If he isn't being played, then the club might well have saved on his wages. What's the worst that can happen? He walks away on Friday?Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Presumably not pissed off enough to take a pay cut by pissing off elsewhere. Re: Spotty's Seriously Sub-standard Second Rate Transfer Thr
Quite. If he was prepared to tear up the contract and walk away with a hand shake I doubt the club would be trying to prevent him. I understand he's peeved at not being given a chance by Lennon, but there is a way out, which given the circumstances I'd be taking in his position - particularly as a transfer window is opening and would make fining another club straightvforward.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Presumably not pissed off enough to take a pay cut by pissing off elsewhere. Re: Spotty's Seriously Sub-standard Second Rate Transfer Thr
I'd imagine that paying some and not others is a pretty strong case of discrimination with severe repercussions. Plus the union wouldn't be too impressed either, particularly considering they've paid half of the wages themselves.
So yeah, I reckon Medo will have been paid.
