Message to Dean Holdsworth - look what a proper experienced manager (i.e. Warnock) has done at Rotherham, we need something similar
Both Holdsworth and Jimmy Phillips can hardly be blamed for anything because they both inherited losers by the waggon-full. No money and no chance of bringing in players and only a couple of games to be judged, but yes, we need some serious changes. Rule 1: Don't start off thinking we'll get promoted right back just because We're Bolton Wanderers.
Haven't blamed either its aimed at next season....Phillips though is no where near manager material, and I do believe that Dean Holdsworth has some sort of plan to try & get us back up next season otherwise why buy the club.

But he has to find a way of getting these current cowardly wanker players out of the club if we are to progress....we need a cull of ALL of the senior players at the club, who along with Eddie Davies are responsible for us being relegated to League 1

How on earth Eddie Davies thinks that replacing Nat Lofthouse as club president is acceptable is behond me - we should all thank Eddie Davies (and ALL of our cowardly senior players) for this relegation to the 3rd tier for the first time in 20 odd years

I thought I'd feel gloomier than this. I guess I was numbed weeks ago by this shower and their complete lack of fight.

According to Iles next season will be only the 13th out of 144 that BWFC have spent outside the top two divisions. Not bad really when you think about it.

But highlights how poorly the club has been run for the past 6 years or so especially. Really is a disgrace.

As are the players who supposedly represent us.

I can live with a poor season ... a few poor seasons .... I can cope with relegation. I cannot deal with players without fight, guts & drive. How you get a squad with so little character I have no idea.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

This isn't the end
This isn't even the beginning of the end
But it is perhaps the end of the beginning
Or something

I really thought that the buy-out of the club and finally getting their wages paid after all the stress, might have motivated the players to fight for the club . It obviously didn't, but really, a young kid, an ageing striker, a newly pronoted first teamer and players who play half-hearted football plus some who wouldn't have made the squad twelve months ago were never really a big hope raiser. Gutted right now, but I'll get over it.

It's probably the middle of the end of the beginning. :D

I'd like to say there will be a fire sale but the only player of worthy note has gone already.

Scored today as well.

The trouble with our squad is we have a team of players who like to coast through games, the one's that are good 80-90% of the time. The ones that can get away with it in a team of good players. A team of players that look to others when it's going wrong. Afraid of grabbing the game by the balls and taking it on themselves to change the way it's going.

I laughed out loud when Trotter came out the other day and said they are going to go down fighting.

This club has some serious turning round to do. I do hope we can rid ourselves of the dross we have and bring in some hard working players as we'll be lucky to stay in League 1 next season.

Metaphorically? I'd be surprised if he didn't, but I didn't know he already had?

Broken legs and a bad dose of aids would be too good for some of this shower. Worst season most of us will witness, I hope.

I wish I hadn't...How many goals have we let in from 20 yards out, this season?

40% of our goals conceded have come from outside the box. That's the fifth-lowest in the division. Bit surprising but I guess we've conceded a lot inside the box...

Not surprised we're at 40%, thought it might be a bit higher, but am surprised that's 5th lowest in the division. Although I suspect there ain't many where that total is 38...

The spread is 56% (Wolves) down to 36% (Rotherham).

Ay up lads. Sorry it had to be us that relegated you, all the best for next season.

Not wanting to take the piss, but I can't quite believe how bad you were today. Genuinely the most uninterested and gutless performance I've ever seen from an away team at Derby. Old man Heskey was the only player who looked like causing us any problems and you deserve so much better.

Could have been double figures easy, and scoring flattered you - your players disgraced themselves for me and if you can possibly clear the lot of them and start again I would do.
