Pirates off the starboard bow. Home to Bristol Sat 5th April 3-0 'clock.

Up the Whites and all that, but I can’t help immediately being concerned about Tuesday.

3 more points done and dusted. Our defense is so much more solid these days. Forino outstanding and my MoTM.

This is getting unnecessarily daft.

get Etete on for one of the forwards.
Don’t think we could at this stage as we’d already made our three in game switches.

Not sure where to start. A wins a win but fecking hell that was dire from start to finish. Forino & Baxter excellent, Forino is getting better game by game, everyone else was quite average and didn't get out of 1st gear and it looked like they didn't really want to. Why have they reverted to Evatt's sideways & backwards slow as feck shite again ?

Schumacher needs to have a harsh word with them IMO. They need to be told to play with a better tempo and move the ball quicker - they don't look anything like a top 6 team. Great to see Dempsey back, but it looks like Forrester is out for the reast of the season.

Saying all that its a miracle we are in the top 6 with only Collins & McAtee as the only attacking / forward players (and no strikers), also perhaps the front 2 are a little fatigued, playing every game. Anyway as I said a wins a win and with another with a clean sheet.

The forwards could be what causes us to miss the playoffs. Collins is very good, but is being asked to play too much. McAtee is ok, but often more bluster than end product, and is also being run into the ground. Etete appears to be a whole lot of nothing.

Mcatee is not very good - Collins needs a rest but we have zero quality up top without him.

I think there's a time to worry about whys n wherefors. 3 points. Job done.

The forwards will not be the reason we miss out. Our inability to defend and not concede two, will be, when we contemplate 46 games overall. No set of forwards are generally scoring 3 a game, anywhere.

Yes I expected a lot more from McAtee, he's been quite disappointing and he doesn't get involved enough for me - lots of pointing, but he never jumps for headers he just backs into defenders all the time. I'll be very surprised if he's in the starting XI next season unless he really steps it up these last few games. I've also been disappointed with CMG I was looking forward to him getting back fit, but he looks off it as well.

Anyway its the 3 points that matter.

Get in Collo :pissed:
I'm a bit concerned about the goal-kettle Sonic. It did drop off towards the end of last season. We're going to need it in the run in, methinks...
Apologies sir! I'll have a word with the in-house kitchen technician

Mcatee looks at his best when he’s just given it away. He really works hard to win it back. The problem is he gives it away a lot. Quite a frustrating player to watch or maybe it’s just me but he often misses the obvious.

I like McAtee as an individual, he's got that swagger and he's quite aggressive and will give as much as he gets - the type of player we need, he just doesn't get involved enough in games for me. He's also a good finisher and can strike a ball, there is a player there I'm just not sure what will bring out the best in him, saying that the same thing could be said of a few of our players.

Dempsey is a huge boost for us IMO as is Forino getting fitter and becoming that leader that we need.

I wonder if we'll see Tomo as a makeshift centre-half for a couple of games

I think McAtee is an above average L1 player who thinks he’s a Championship player. He’s decent enough, but not worth what we paid for him, and if we do get promoted I can’t see him thriving a level up.

Jones would be the more natural stand in, no?

I doubt very much we'll see him again in a Wanderers shirt.

Given we've got no CB on the bench and we're playing Thomason, i'd be tempted to agree with you.

It's a shame.
