Lonergan is a good keeper and has been brilliant in a number of games since Lennon came in and will continue to do a good job if he stays but some keepers can develop a presence that improves those infront of them. The greatest keepers like schmeichel senior had this . A total confidence , exceptional reading of the game and a physical mental presence
For me bogdan has the potential to become that kind of presence whereas I don't think Lonergan has . I could be wrong , would t be the first time , and it's probably a moot point as bogdan seems likely to leave and I'm not dissing Lonergan who has been in exceptional form .
And no I'm bit saying bogdan us the next Peter schmeichel but he has more potential to get close to that level than Lonergan has .
Haven't seen enough of amos but his age , physique and calmness suggeat he could become a great keeper so no problem if its amos and Lonergan here next season . It will be know resting to see how bogdan progresses if he gets a move to a higher level than we can currently offer .

Amos was given a three-year contract in 2012, at the age of 22; he wouldn't have been on YTS wages. Twenty large sounds a lot but it's pretty much the basic wage for a Big Club squad member. Let's not forget these f*cks are paying Falcao £265kpw and Rooney something like £300kpw.

He won't get £20kpw at Bolton or any other second-tier team, and he might never earn it again unless he proves himself a top-flight goalkeeper. The best way he can do that is making a good impression in our division, and the only way he's coming here is to be on less money.

And he does need to prove himself having spent so long having his development limited playing in whatever tier he ended up in at united . His spell at hull didn't really work out . He slipped from first to third choice after 19 games and made a few costly errors but also showed potential with some blinding saves . It's not the sort of cv to justify a big wage as dsb says. Would be a good signing, relatively inexpensive and with good potential .

Amos, whose loan expired on Saturday night, has extended his stay for another month. Because he signed on Jan 30 and this type of 'standard loan' is extendable for up to 93 days (remember Dawson?), by my calculations he could stay to the end of the season - Jan 30 + 93 days = May 3, and our last game's on May 2.

Hayden White and Kaiyne Woolery have had their loans to Notts County ended. White hadn't started any of the last six, and although Woolery had appeared in five of the last six, he's now come back... and, as LGM reported on the youth thread, scored a cup winner against some bad guys.

County forum suggests woolery did ok but the manager is under pressure and may be looking for more experienced players to get in on loan .

Bolton supposed to be signing Paddy McCarthy from Crystal Palace (According to Nixon).

Have we officially become Palace's feeder club?

ahh well - at least we won't be hearing Lenny moaning that we have too few defenders any time soon... he clearly thinks we have plenty!

Hopefully it's because the whole team will eventually be able to pass to one another and be fairly interchangeable. Like Mascherano playing in defence for Barca... Tippy tappy here we come! #excited
The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

An injury prone 28 year old midfielder with a lower league background seems an interesting choice of cover having list two defenders and the Boy wonder . Can never have too many midfielders unless they are freedman signings it seems .
